I can't understand this blind faith that some have over the bloke and think everything will suddenly click into place when there's been nothing to suggest that's ever likely to happen.
His supporters will say he needs a transfer window to bring in his own players. He's had a transfer window already, and brought in one of his old players. How did that work out? Why can't we judge him on that and have concerns about what players he's going to buy in the summer?
Why can't we judge him on the tactics he's trying to employ now? Are we not going to play this way next season, or something?
Why can't we judge him on his man management skill now? We've got players fighting each other, and breaking down on the pitch. Why are they so sure that's not going to happen next season if we don't start off well?
The give him a transfer window makes no sense to me
When Zola was in charge I could see what he was trying to do, he was trying to get us to play football the way that he was taught playing in brilliant teams, slick, fast often one touch football that was never gonna work here cos we didn’t have the players that were anywhere near the level required to play that way so all we’d up doing is giving the ball away, but at least with him I could of seen an argument for there could be a vast improvement with different players.
All I see Potter doing is trying to keep hold of possession by passing it around our own half. I don’t see how better players are going to create more goals if that’s all we’re going to do for the majority of the match.
As you say, it’s complete blind faith
Don't agree with the bit about Zola! I remember his teams constantly passed it round the back and then had not idea what to do when they passed the halfway line. A bit like now.

The only thing entertaining about Potter is his post-match meltdowns.
Really? You think Potter is more boring than Moyes?
I was no fan of Moyes by the end, but even during his worst period of the second half of last season he was picking up more points and scoring more goals than Potter
I also saw 2 excellent seasons from Moyes, one of them being the best we’ve ever had point wise
Potter has never had an excellent season in this country
He’s struggled for goals his entire premier league career cos of his preferred style of play, which is not for me
I’ve supported West Ham since 91, I’ve never seen us this consistently boring as under Potter. Admittedly it’s only the last 10 years since access to every game has become available so maybe that would be a better judgement to make, and I’ve seen some serious dross in that time but he’s the worst. I actually thought us under Lopetegui was as bad as it could get but he’s taken it to another level.

Who's to say there's plenty of money to spend on new transfers in the summer anyway, as rumours suggest Dildo Dave will be peddling the PSR excuse again? Whoever's in charge will have to mainly work with what they've got, so even that point looks a bit moot.

What are you on about? The "don't judge Potter brigade"? Who the fuck is that? Every supporter is judging Potter and the judgements, at this stage, aren't good. But some supporters are a bit more pragmatic and are prepared to give him a summer window and a pre-season. What's wrong with that view? Or is it a case of it just not being the same as yours?
And you state "they actually get off on losing". You actually believe a section of our support likes to lose? Seriously? You are starting to sound a bit mental.
And I also note your comment "And when it does all go to shit, every fan that backed him will shirk all responsibility and lay the whole thing at Sullivan’s door". I mean, yes, as I have explained numerous times over the last few weeks, the mess we are in is down to Sullivan. As I said, Potter is a symptom, Sullivan is the disease. But the main point is, you talk about supporters that backed / still back Potter as some sort of scum or fool. Bottom line, they are supporters and that's what they do. If you don't want to support then that's your choice, but some supporters still want to.
As I said, you are starting to sound a bit mental. Droning on day after day making the same point. Yes, we know Potter has been disappointing. But you don't have to keep trying to win some sort of competition to prove you said it first that he wasn't the right man. And trying to sway every poster to your way of thinking. Even resorting to abusing people who don't agree with you.
Just have a day off. We know what you think. Stop trying to prove you are right.
And before you judge me, I was in the give him a window and pre-season camp, but I am afraid that the last three performances and results have now swayed me to move him on. I have just not seen enough to convince me. It's a shame as I wanted it to work. But I just can no longer see it. Especially with it looking like we won't have loads to spend in the summer.

They think backing your club when it sells its home and proceeds to relegate itself shows what true fans they are.
Cos no other fans would put up with that
They fail to see it’s not a good thing and certainly not a badge of honour, just a badge that says you’re a fucking loser

Sullivan and the Slag...
So Sullivan, the real issue here gets refered to by name and Brady, an employee of the problem gets refered to in that manner despite being married decades with no, as far as I'm aware, any public evidence of infidelity.
Misogyny like that should not be tolerated and this cսnt needs a ban for it.

Pfft! That's all small potatoes to Sullivan and the Slag as the most important thing to them, by far is their continued Premier League Membership that brings in the real dough. So sitting perched on 17th place raking in the big bucks is all that ultimately matters to them. Not bringing in relative pennies (to them) by the odd £3M extra a spot. All that's worth to them is a couple of extra crystal panthers, year's supply of Ozempic and a new annual face and tummy lift. The Membership alone covers for all that and more, don't you worry about that...

"But looking at Potter more closely, I honestly thought he might be the one to give the youth players a chance"
giving (multiple) youth players a chance gets in the way of player turnover, and the in house agents like silkman/salthouse/etc. the gravy train must continue

Not sure the 3m matters to him and in reality I don't care much about it either - not disputing the fact the obviously it would come in handy.
For me it's the embarrassment of being the shittest team not to get relegated. To finish 17th this season is a massive failure for both Lopetegui for how we played in the first half of the season, Potter who has failed to improve our results (quite the opposite), and the man at the top who appointed both managers.
I don't want to take too much responsibility from the manager and players, but for me it does make me think about the conditions they are working under as to whether this is a real deep problem with the ownership and how the club is run from the top.
But looking at Potter more closely, I honestly thought he might be the one to give the youth players a chance, especially after a promising start and the noises he made. But he is just as bad as everyone else we've had probably since Redknapp. Our season is over, our players are massively under performing, there are players in the squad who could not give a shit and won't even be here next year, and yet this is now 3 games in a row where he's favouring players like Ings, Coufal, Rodriquez over giving the young players a chance. Perfect opportunity missed once again.
I couldn’t stand Lopetegui for the way he played and his baffling team selections, however, it’s not on him that we’re in 17th, that’s on Sullivan for appointing Potter
