"El scorchio , spot on . When are people going wake up thats the players arent the problem. Theres been too many decent players signed and then ruined by this dinosaur of a manager. Hes got no idea how to play them, he has no idea how to motivate them and he has no idea how to coach them. This man is sucking the life out of the club and is being supported by the clueless owner and his refusal to do anything about it."

"How a business works - Plant mgr to company owner - I'd like 60m to buy 2 new machines as the current one is knackered and doesn't perform top level anymore. 8 months later - Company owner to plant manager - why have you spent that 60m on 2 new machines but still use the one you told me doesn't work properly? Plant manager - Because I didn't research how the new machines work and now I can't get them to fit in with the overall factory to increase performance. Company owner - Oh, ok, you're fired then.. Unless it's West Ham United."

"360, yeah, agreed that none of them players seem to be the sort that Moyes usually goes for. Scamacca did mainly play with his back to goal in Italy. He'd come deep and start a move by laying the ball off to one of their pacy attacking midfielders. The issue we've had is leaving him isolated in the centre while our wingers stay wide until they get the ball, because apparently they must keep their shape and track back in case we lose possession. I think one of the reasons why Scamacca and Paqueta haven't fared too well is that we defend so deep that there are huge spaces between defence, midfield and attack. That and the lack of movement means that any player used to attacking via forward passing interchanges will find it a struggle."

Like Groundhog Day. Fast forward to August. West Ham sit 20th in the championship with 1 point from a possible 9. Moyes told next game home to Cardiff is a must not lose

"Paqueta looks sub par simply because of the situation he's in. Our system simply doesn't have any way of getting him on the ball in a situation where he can impact the game. We are so poor and slow and static that he's always got 1-2 oppo players in close quarters so all he can do is try a trick or lay it off. Same with Benrahma (and actually on that- I think Benny has been consistently in the team this season at Paqueta's insistence- I think he realises he's the best other ball player at the club and wants him in the team alongside him. The only decent play we ever have is with those two and Rice) None of our players ever have space and time to do anything. It's why we are so pathetic going forward. Paqueta in Newcastle's side last night would have been superb. Their CMs had loads of space and time to play effective passes because of the overall movement of their team and speed of play. They were finding pockets between the lines and between players and easily exploiting us. We move the ball so slowly the oppo barely has to work to contain us. If we played like Newcastle, all of a sudden Paqueta, Benny, Rice, Bowen, Antonio or Ings or Scamacca would instantly look twice the player at least. That's a guarantee."

"Simon, s I might add, that getting spanked by these teams is going to kill our goal difference. GD this year is going to be like having 3 points. I think we have 1 winnable match left given our form (Bournemouth and even that is 50/50). If we get spanked by Man City and Arsenal we will probably go down on GD. I cant see 1 team on our remaining fixtures that I'd put my house on us winning. Not 1 game. The situation is insane."

"Nagel 1:30 Thu Apr 6 I concede that on paper you are right. But in practise (and this is where scouting and actual brain power come into it) how these players are playing at West Ham is not what they were used to or where they were best performing. Either way, you can see that they are not doing what you need them to do but you dont fix the formation to solve it. You keep the same formation and expect it to work. And when we say lone striker, I'm kind of thinking of Drogba. Did Scamaca play back to goal in Italy? Is that where most of his goals came from? Same with Ings? 1 up front where the ball is played in front of you is a bit different to playing 1 up isolated and expecting to make miracles. Thats what Arnie did. Its wast Drogba, Costa did, Its what Antonio could do sometimes. It's not a normal skill set."

"Yesterday was a free hit for Moyes. It wasn't a get your pants pulled down by Newcastle and get fucked up the arse by them free hit, but that's Sullivan for you. We could probably have conceded ten and nothing would have changed. He's just about getting something out of the games that he really needs to. Getting something from Fulham and then getting destroyed by Arsenal is not unrealistic, given it's a good time to play Fulham. He's the luckiest PL manager. Ever."

hreesixty 1:12 Thu Apr 6 Spot on with Paqueta in the wrong position he is hardly going to shine He demoralise all of the players because they know that we are in this position due to Moyes not being able to play a sytem that fits the talented played he has his disposal.

"There isn't another club or any other business that would allow a failing manager to continue in their post after such a long run of poor performances. It simply defies belief. The useless prick has been given resources and time and still continues to fail. Fuck knows what's going on behind the scenes, but there must be a reason for not sacking him."

"threesixty 1:12 Thu Apr 6 At the risk of appearing to defend Moyes, most of that is just wrong. Scamacca has always played as a lone striker, albeit one with a lot more support than he gets here. Paqueta has never been a DM. At club level he was always a no 10 or a no 8 whenever they played a midfield 3 without a no 10. For Brazil he usually played ahead of 2 DMs (Fabinho, Fred, Casemiro or Guimaraes) until the World Cup, which is where everyone seemed to get this idea that he was actually a DM."

"In all the chaos, let's not forget Kehrer who started the whole shitshow. After a good opening 5 minutes, he bottled that header. I truly believe if that hadn't happened, the evening wouldn't have panned out as it did. Get rid."

"Sanacs - that's a fair point: Moyes hasn't exactly made assessing these players easy, has he? We've wasted some good talent. He makes it too hard to tell if we have a gem, or a ringer, on our hands."

"Haller he didnt buy, but worked out that our system wasn't good for him.. fine. But to buy Scamaca AND Ings. Players that play best in a 2 and use them both as lone strikers? Why? To buy a Brazilian DM and play him as a no.10. When you already have Englands no.1 DM? wtf? And then to admit all these mistakes like its normal ... the fucking arrogance."

"Paqueta workrate lately has been good, he tries and gets stuck in But we bought him to score and create goals and he doesn't look close to remotely doing either every week. Few flicks and tricks masks the fact that he contributes fuck all"

"paqueta was billed as our new number 10 (not actually sure if anyone from west ham ever saw him play before we sigend him) yet last night soucek was the second further forward behind antonio and paqueta was having to come deeper to try and get the ball and influence the game. We have spent £50m on someone then tried to redesign his game because he doesn't fit into our one dimensional system its easy to dig him out, but like Haller and many other quality players over the last few years, our manager and coaching staff are unable to use the quality they have in front of them"
