I don't think there's any doubt that Sullivan already thinks highly of himself. He backed Moyes when the cry was to sack him. He already knows he's an Adonis with his trans looking totty. If he also signed Ings then it's confirmed it for all time that he's simply the best Genius that everyone needs to worship....

"The concerning thing is, is that Sullivan might think of himself as a footballing genius for buying Ings if his goals keep us up. And if we don't get sold in the summer, we're going to keep on buying players that our manager wouldn't have wanted but that the idiot Sullivan wants."

"diehardhammer 11:33 Mon Feb 27 Re: Moyes Out i'm not sure there's any comprehension of how awful Moyes is as a manager. If we get out of this, it'll be down to the company man, the players, and to a lesser extent, Sullivan signing Ings."

"Whilst a win was fantastic and we scored 4 goals, Forest are not the benchmark. Brighton will be the game that determines whether we have the stomach for the fight and have improved. Villa next."

"We are just lucky that there are worse teams than us currently. But that can change, anty team that stops loosing a puts a run together goes mid table. Its Palace downwards really. Southmapton and Bournemouth have picked up the same amount of points as Palace in ther last 6 games."

The only thing that Saturdays result has done for me is increase my anger thinking about how this season has gone so far. We only needed to set up like that in half a dozen games and we wouldn't be in the state we are now. Bloody annoying but let's hope the players get us over the line because the manager has lost his mind a long time ago.

I really think (or hope) Ings could be the Lingard of this season. Extra cutting edge we've been lacking. Could have had a hat trick yesterday.

Sir Alf Are you fixating on Soucek now Alf? I've seen a definite improvement in his performances and control. He's pushing forward to support Ings yesterday and still gets back when we need to defend. Much like he used to. I want to see more.

"had a watch of his post match press conference. even after such a good win, he still couldn't help mentioning the five at the back option, clearly forgetting that it's the biggest fucking reason we're in the shit. that reference to his anti football philosophy despite just winning 4-0 tells me that he'll be quite happy going back to his bad habits of grinding out results, rather than imposing ourselves on the opposition"

"""Has anything major changed ?"" well, yes actually Alf, I Hope! That second half performance must have spiked our confidence somewhat, despite it coming against a poor Forest side. We can go to Brighton with our tails up and with some hope and LORD KNOWS we owe them. Have we not seen teams turn corners based on such results and getting a confidence boost? Optimism rightly guarded however given our position and that Moyes is one stubborn mule that might just revert to the 'dont lose' grim defensive setup that hasn't worked for a year now."

"One for the ""scoreboard fans""ù yesterday with their foam fingers and half and half scarves :-) They will be seeing this as a ""new Dawn""ù, just like some of the media and pundits who want to see an old school British manager still in a job. It's the only link back to their time in tge game for a lot of these old pundits? Anyway, I agree with the general concensus that of course a win is good. Avoiding relegation is the only thing that matters right now but referencing this ""scoreboard fan""ù idea, you have to look beyond the 4-0 and how we were set up, how Forest set up and played etc. They seemed to give us more room and don't press high like many teams or at least didn't yesterday? We struggle with that. It's our biggest weakness. Alternatively, the presence of Paqueta may have been the reason we seemed to be able to pass it or move it around more quickly because we did seem to? Maybe a bit of both? So as Master and others say, let's take stock after the next 2 games. Has anything major changed ? I don't think so. Moyes bringing in Cresswell was a gamble that he got away with but if he's starting next week we know Moyes just had a good day at the office in terms of the result. Will he drop Soucek ? No he will persist with him as his new number 10. Against better teams and even Forest he chases shadows. Gets involved here and there l, helps in the air defending corners etc but largely a passenger. The injury to Fab might have forced him to pick Areola. Fabs a great shot stopper but at almost 38 and in the modern game you need more mobility and ability with your feet. Areola I is more mobile and quicker off his line and can use his feet to be more of a sweeper keeper option rather than Fabs punts back to the opposition every time it goes back to him. Anyway, nice to get 3 points but Moyes will manage to undermine the "" feel a bit better""ù feelings very soon. It's what he does ""he fvcks things up""ù :-)"

I agree with master - try a trick like he did with Cresswell yesterday and the likes of Bournemouth or Brighton will punish you. We're definitely not out of the woods yet and I'm far from sure Moyes is clear about what the best team is for our next league fixture (Brighton away).

Well that's right because we are still in a relegation battle and need to average more that a point a game for the remainder of the season.

"Goodness sake. We always beat the cannon fodder in the league. The likes of Watford, Norwich, Forest. We are still piss poor against the mid table teams let alone anything above. Flat track bullies. The real test comes against Villa, Brighton, Palace etc."

"The win has done Moyes no favours and makes him look like the indept cսnt he is. Setting up to attack and press has given him breathing space with the more inept Sullivan, but this is an approach he should have taken long ago when it was crystal clear his defence-first approach wasn't working. 1. His approach possibly cost us more than the two points we got in the last three games 2. I think he'll go for it against Brighton, but if we lose it will force him to revert. 3. He has to go at the end of the season survive or not, and deliver a trophy or not. I stopped liking the bloke after his sly digs at the fans. Irrespective of what he achieves now, he can fuck off as far as I'm concerned."

"Sydney_Iron 6:46 Sun Feb 26 Re: Moyes Out Pretty meaningless statistic without context - on the face of it just means he's an old cսnt that's been around a long time. How many games it's taken him to achieve it, points per game etc might actually provide some meaning to it. Beyond that, the usual 21st century hysterical over reactions to every win or loss. Great result (I wasn't quite as enthused by the performance as some) but against a team that has scored 3 goals and conceded 29 in 12 away games."

"I think we can expect Moyes to stay now. He's shown the board and the fans that he can turn it around. We'll have Scamacca, Cornet and Zouma coming back to strengthen his options too. The warning sign that he's still the old Moyes was when he played Cresswell and switched Johnson to the right. I thought Cresswell was awful and like a rabbit in the headlights but I thought Moyes made the change to improve crosses from full backs as Coufal showed no obvious sign of injury. It was also noticeable how the crowd murmur when Cressie came on suggested they saw it as a weakness as well. According to Moyes though Coufal had a heel injury so may not be ok for Manchester cup game. Will we play the 3-5-2 line up there? I hope not but probably will and we'll probably lose either way but should stick with what we've got. Hmmm! I wonder if Magic Moyes will mess it up again?"

"I'm pleased we won, but it changes nothing. We're not all of a sudden a brilliant team that plays easy on the eye football. Moyes has proven over the last 14 months that he's not the manager he thinks he is. At the moment, all yesterday proved was every dog has its day, would hate to be wrong but I think normal service will be resumed very quickly and Moyes record against the big six will be extended."

"I don't care how many games he's won. He's wasted two thirds of a season persisting with a system the players hate/d, and putting the club on the brink because of his stubbornness and arrogance. He couldn't go quick enough for me, an absolute cսnt of a manager - and don't rule out the wonder formation returning against Man Utd"
