Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
Does anyone think we will get anything? By anything, I mean any points. I'll go for 1, which would be OK with Sheffield Utd and more winnable games to follow, to hopefully keep us in the top 6.

Zeb I believe vvd only banned for two matches and he's already served one so he'll be back and rested to play us.

We are likely to lose both. We can win both. I prefer to concentrate on the later, even if it makes me old-fashioned.

Don’t fancy our chances with these, but can hope for a point, or two. We had what looked, a very tough start on paper. I never fancied our chances against Chelsea and Brighton either.

Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
0 (ZERO) 'Interesting' article I read earlier says that our results are aassive over performance based on xG (which in individual games you obviously can't rely on but are likely to revert to the mean on). Both Antonio and Bowen are both currently outperforming their xG (way above what they normally do) and the team as a whole are outperforming xG for, and xG against as well (which is only actually better than 4 other teams in the league...basically all the expected relegation candidates. The inference...expect Moyes normality to resume sooner rather than later. xG of course being based on the quality of chances created and conceded (so it says we're giving up lots of high quality chances that our oppo should have scored, and we've scored a number of goals from positions you wouldn't expect us to). Fundamentally, unsustainable.

I doubt we will win them both but more than happy with the 4 points .

Unfortunately, I think we'll get the square root of fuck all.
Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
I fancy us to give Liverpool more of a game going forwards. Man city will dominate us and score and we'll have no answer. Like others have said if Moyes play Soucek and either drops Alvarez or moves Paquetta on the left to accommodate Soucek we will get 0 points
Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
man city 0 westham 1,liverpool 1 westham 1. 4 points if the crowd get behind the boys, but then again i am crackers.

Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
Is Moyes plays Source in both games 0 Alvarez at least 1 point. He is far more mobile than Soucek. Soucek for set pieces only as City and the bin dippers play the ball on the floor

Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
I said 15 for the first five. I feel these two teams are the two teams that can inflict pain on us and are right in form plus we rarely get anything out these games. If I was a betting man, which I’m not, I would only suggest zero points. 0

Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
I think that this is why Moyes rankles so many, he’s style and setup won’t change even though we have a better squad than ever before. For me the West Ham way was always trying your best to bloody the nose of a ( on paper) bigger and better opponent. Remember Alex Ferguson when we held Man U calling our team effort obscene. I’d love to be proved wrong but even before the next 2 games have started Moyes is looking at it that as it stands now we’ve not lost to either team so defend those 2 non losses. Love it when we rattle so called big teams and show them they’re fallible.

Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
The only team that I have a real dislike for is the scousers, yes I dislike all the other usual suspects such as Spurs etc, but the fucking scousers are in a league all of their own. I would drop a bomb on Liverpool but all it would do would cause £100m worth of improvements to the dump. Not bothered about Citeh but oh for a repeat of 29th August 2015, as its the only win there after 1961, would be just great. So i'm going, hoping, for a 3-0 away win and 3 points from the two games
Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
We've beaten both fairly recently, City albeit on pens but all things are possible.

Re: Points predictions for Man City and Liverpool?
A point in each would be nice, but expect a lot will depend on how we set up and we all know that Moyes will be parking the bus and going for damage limitation. Personally i would like to see us have a real go at both of them, would rather we roll the dice and get the chance of a historic win but risk a tonking than play the dire 10 behind the ball and lose by a 1 or 2 nil. Sheffield United nearly held Man city and Liverpool are vulnerable at the back. fingers crossed we have 2 upsets and this great start rolls on. COYI
