The 'New WHO' Gaming Thread (For all Gaming Geeks)

Post cup of tea »

GAMING THREAD FOR THOSE THAT ARE INTO THEIR GAMES
ALL FORMATS - PC / XBOX / PLAYSTATION / SWITCH / MOBILE

Any other fellow gamers on here?

I am on XBox Series X and currently playing the new Star Wars Outlaws game. It has had some bad press but so far it is pretty decent. The downside of the game is no lightsabres but it is open world so that makes it more interesting than a stand alone basic mission gameplay game.

What games are the WHO alumni playing? What games are in your back catalogue of favourite games? What games are you most looking forward to playing? etc.

This thread will probably get shot down by the usual suspects but it is a new site so why not have a new thread on a new subject?

The Cowdenbeath version of football manager is not out yet!

Why has the TY video not posted? Am I being a c*nt?

Debating turning an old PC into a massive console back catalogue of PS3/XBox 360 games. Can do it for the Atari 7800 too.
Haven't tried it (yet), but understand you can run MAME32 on a Rpi.
Not to sure about the newer CPU intensive games mind. May need something a little beefier.

The gaming industry. Like the movie industry is on its fucking knees. I was half expecting this topic to be in the woke thread.? But joking apart. If Rockstar drop the ball with GTA6. Then it will put a shit tonne of pressure on a lot of big hitters. And quite a few won’t be in the gaming business much longer after that.

Currently playing Legendary Fishing on the PS4. Yes, I know you can't beat the real thing but nice, easy game to chill out on the sofa with a few beers and unwind.

Think the last 'new' console game I played was Far Cry, probably the second one.
Stick to the old skool MAME32 now. Find I don't need disjointed fingers, or more than the usual amount of them of them, to play.
Invaders, Kong, Scramble, Splatter House et al.

Shameless BUMP

Never been a Call of Duty fan but as the new one, Black Ops 6 was on Xbox Game Pass I installed it.

The campaign is actually very good, a tad short but some of the missions are really well thought out.

The ZOMBIES mode is fun and quite challenging.

I'll just say that multiplayer is cross gen and quite how some of these players are so good and also have all of the best weapons already is beyond me. You literally cannot take two steps without some cսnt putting a magazine of ammo in your head. They are either seasoned pros that spend hours a day playing or/and they are using hacks in the settings which was all new to me until I read up on it - using 'lag' using exploits etc

Overall, for a game I usually don't have much time for its worth the free install and playing campaign and zombies - I really wouldn't touch multiplayer, its just frustratingly annoying

I play a lot of GTA 5 Online, I am pretty high ranked (933) and have around $340m in cash. It has turned in to a griefing platform though so not as enjoyable as it was.

GTA6 will be massive when it does come out, I am guessing one of those games that take up 200gb of space. Saying that, the new Xbox 2tb is out at the end of the year.

I was also browsing some gaming forums and for those of a certain age the Atari 7800+ will be out at the end of the year so those that go for nostalgia that could be a good investment.

I have never got in to CoD - I detest FPS and try and only play games that are third person

Just waiting for GTA 6. Haven’t seen the point in buying a PS5 until that comes out. Nothing can’t miss has been released yet, years after the console.

Ususally Though I love a horror survival. Resident evil or alien isolation. Can’t be bothered with call of duty or fifa any more.

Really looking forward to Outlaws.
Wukong is next up though.
Also, the Dead Rising remaster coming out in September looks fantastic, if you were a fan of the original.

You will be hard pressed to find a better game in the last twenty years than Elden Ring. It's recent DLC was also incredible.
