I only ask as may make a couple of days of it with Mrs tea shopping in Liverpool and me going to the footy.
I know, glutton for punishment
I thought the same last December for the quarters. Regretted it.

The sooner the so called big six fuck off to a super league the better, no point in there being a random draw for the next round if it’s not random.

Re: Third round draw. Liverpool away.
They studio should have been ready to run the draw live the instant the result of the last game was confirmed.
How hard can it be to take a ping-pong ball out of a jug?
They could have run a dozen or so draws during the delay between the end of the match and it being "broadcast live", with the one the media actually preferred being the one we got.

In a perverse way it’s better meeting Liverpool at this stage, where there is no excuse for not fielding our best eleven, rather than us beating a series of minnows and then putting out a weakened squad when the going gets tough later on.

Russ, not sure? It's as bent as fuck. Surely every West Ham supporter with an eye for the league cup can see that?

Re: Third round draw. Liverpool away.
At first glance, its a shit draw. But, then again, if Slot decides to do what Klopp did and play a Liverpool B side then we may have a chance.... If we take it seriously and put out a strong side. As others have said, we aren't in Europe so why not go for it.
As for the fixing comments, I am not sure. But it does seem rather coincidental that the four big clubs are all home draws.

Re: Third round draw. Liverpool away.
There's complaints (from the players! Just who do they think they are!!??) about too many games, and what do the MSM...sorry....footballing authorities do but come up with a way to add yet more games to an already packed schedule?
National competition dates should be set at the start of each season by every UEFA nation. These then take full precedence over any pan-or international games.
In the event of any clash, clubs have to decide in which competition they want to participate for the season.

I did say way before the draw was done it would be one of the elite teams away from home. This competition has lost its credibility after the pre-draw farce as well

Re: Third round draw. Liverpool away.
Imagine my 'surprise' that the 4 'biggest' clubs got the 4 home draws, and the two 'smaller' Euro clubs got the away draws.
Surely the credibility for this competition is over. Gets more contrived in favour of teams that work well for the sponsor every year.
I'd argue it's actually harder to win the League cup than the FA Cup now, with the way it's rigged in favour of the bigger clubs.
