Stop Making Sense -Talking Heads
"The best concert movie made is being re released at IMAX Cinemas shortly. Obviously it helps to believe that Talking Heads are one of the greatest bands ever, which I do,. The energy and sheer amount of creativity and fun in it is just brilliant. Let the cunting begin."

Fucking great band. I need to see this. They were so underrated. Crosseyed & Painless one of my favourites.
Re: Stop Making Sense -Talking Heads
Last (and first) time I saw this was in a very happy pub in Australia in 1987… very hazy memory of a fantastic night now for several reasons… will definitely have to watch again!

Went to the 6.30pm last night at the BFI IMAX at Waterloo Just superb Just getting over the fact that it was first released in 1984 from a series of concerts in Dec 1983 so first saw it 39 years ago.

"of course Byrne is great, but it's the inclusion of the extra musicians like Bernie Worrell & Alex Weir that make it so good"
Re: Stop Making Sense -Talking Heads
Bloody fantastic. Tina Weymouth is a superb bass player. Minimalist bass lines for maximum effect with Once in a Lifetime being the zenith. A band I was in were invited to support Tom Tom Club on a UK tour but songer/band leader refused on our behalf as it might interfere with him starting his PHD. He didn't tell us until we reassembled to do a very nicely payed one off comeback gig a year later. I could have throttled him.

"No cunting from me either! David Byrne in an oversized suit, great stuff. And as said Tom Tom club were a fine act, loved and still do wordy rappinghood, one of my favorite tunes."

No cunting from me. It’s bloody brilliant. What a band! You know they were special when Bernie Worrel was happy to join them.
