Re: RAC Renewal
"When I get my renewal, I check the new customer rate for the AA every year, then phone them and ask for the same rate, always works"
Re: RAC Renewal
"Just get new AA/RAC cover so you get the new customer rate. This is just the standard 'renewal mugging'. I don't know if breakdown cover, is actually insurance, but it is now illegal, to charge new and existing customers, different rates, for the same cover/risk (introduced by the FCA a couple of years ago). https://www.fca.org.uk/news/press-releases/fca-confirms-measures-protect-customers-loyalty-penalty-home-motor-insurance-markets"

Re: RAC Renewal
"I used to have the AA cover that included Garage repair, any repair under £550 the AA would pay with a £35 pound excess. Only thing is you have to call a breakdown van out first. I thought this was odd, you know when something has gone and even taking it to one of their approved Garages still required a breakdown van visit first."
