"scott_d 3:30 Mon Dec 18 Definitely some near us, been reported before, but the stewards do nothing I made a Man U fan stand up and applaud when we beat them last season :-) He just sat passively when our kids paraded the FA Youth Cup, so obvious he was Man U."

"Jumping on here late but anyone else notice a worryingly high number of Frediberg fans in the home end or was it just my block (217). Loads being thrown out as we arrived, a family stood near us speaking fluently in German, and at least another 3-4 groups inside the ground being thrown out with 2 that stayed quiet and stayed in. P1 Travel seeling tickets to Germans?!?"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread
"Daveyg : I disagree about sitting back, I don’t think we’ve turned into the entertainers as you put it I was just pointing out we didn’t play the low block which meant the whole team was further up the pitch .Of course Wolves will be better and not as passive as Freiburg especially in midfield."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread
"Solid We sat back 2nd half. No real shots, just a couple of blocks. Replica of Sheff Utd game where we allowed them to have a fair share of play but no real threat. Pity we couldn't have a 5-0 like a team like Fulham did,Fulham FFS. Everyone seems to be thinking we have turned in to Entertainment Utd, we had a few good exchanges against a team who weren't really interested. Let's see how entertaining we are against Wolves. oh still only 79 minutes of sub times with one of them a player who shouldn't have come out at half time."

"Galatasaray, Lens, Braga, Benfica, AC Milan, Feyenoord, Young Boys, Shakhtar Donetsk, Marseille, Sparta Prague, Sporting, Toulouse, Rennes, Roma or Qarabag. We will play one of the above"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread - Preview
Their fans were loud but call me old fashioned but not into the group dancing . They must have had rehearsals. Looked very odd.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread - Preview
Enjoyed that. Freiburg are one of the strongest teams we have faced in Europe and we outplayed them. We looked better with Ward Prowse in his best position further forward.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread
Daveyg Conceding 3 shots on goal doesn’t mean we sat back

"There was someone on a youtube site who described Alvarez an Kudus as ""great ballers"", I responded by highlighting the words and then called him a stupid cսnt. It was deleted within minutes, and I was threatened by being banned from the platform. I know there are some who find the word cսnt offensive, but i am sure there are many who are offended by this idiotic importation of inane Americanisms."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread
you couldn't have watched the 2nd half. We didn't have a shot on target and they has 3. We sat back.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread
"We didn’t play the low block last night hence Alvarez scoring and assisting the goals ,not once did we sit back and let them dictate the play, whether they were good enough to dictate the play is another thing ."

"Getting to regular games is annoyling hard work and expensive when you live in Bournemouth. I attend as many as I can and have been to most this season so far. (I missed the Arsenal game regretably) Last nights match was the best I have seen us play in bloody ages. We looked compact in midfield and quick moving the ball foward. Like other have said... More of the same please, pleasing on the eye and got most of us out of our seats far more often that has been the case recently."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread - Preview
"I didn’t see any changes in tactics, the players passed better, paq and Alvarez stepped up. Bowen in the middle not for me thou, but gives kudus space."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread - Preview
"I reckon the explanation for Freiburg not turning up must be that they were intimidated by our reputation for playing dominant, attacking football. Sir Alf - three at the back? What game were you watching?"

Our players had an extra half second or more all game than usual. But Freiburg has battered the other teams in the group. We just looked up for it last night like the Arsenal game. More of the same on Sunday would be nice.

This team needs to be put on the front foot against weaker opposition. When Moyes doesn't do it . We sink to their level . It's Englands problem under Southgate as well. Freiborg have finished 5th and 6th the last two seasons in the bundesliga. They ain't shit under any circumstances. When these players are allowed to play were a very good side .

"Russ of the BML 2:03 Fri Dec 15 ''I expected more from them but I think we neutralised any threat they had'' Nah, not for me. As we have seen all season we are not capable of neutralizing a threat from pretty much any side, outside of the bottom 3 we probably have the worse set of defenders in the PL, or certainly close. We ''neutralized'' any threat from them last night simply because they were fucking awful, let's have it right. What I will say though, IMO, is that Aguerd does seem more comfortable in European games, when maybe the pace of the game isn't so frantic, same reason why he generally looks decent playing for Morocco."

"Much much much better last night Quicker on the ball, more forward passes, more runs in behind. Pressing and shape higher up the pitch. We attacked and created and hardly had a full back put a cross in Dear god please carry on like that going into Wolves and Man Utd"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v SC Freiburg - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Thought we just totally controlled the game in every position made a change , was pleasing to watch . We usually get dragged to the oppositions level"

"Freiburg were utter shite. Their players gave up at half time, no wonder their manager was doing his nut on the touchline. Hard to gauge our performance against an utterly shit, cowardly opposition performance. Wolves on Sunday will be a better gauge of where we are at."
