The Amazon commentary team were just what is needed. Two middle aged blokes taking the piss out of each other but at the same time showing good knowledge and accurate identification of what is going on.

"Yea as bell said, not sure what he's going back to? To say he flatters to deceive would be an understatement, he's a championship player all day long and hopefully be on his bike in Jan. For me probably the worst part about this season so far is Moyes putting subs on that you just know aren't going to make any difference, ie Benny, Fornals, Ings. It's really depressing and uninspiring, a bit like some twat entering the pub to join your group, you know he will just be annoying and not add anything useful, but there's not much you can do about it."

"Gaffer - to be fair the geordies have been decimated by injuries, we haven't. They've also been playing much better teams in Europe than the shit we've been playing."

"Talking of the media having favourites, the bloody bar codes ( Newcastle) ohh, how they’ve had to play all those extra European games, plus quarter final of league cup, they are so tired and injury laden, poor things, we’ll it’s no more games then we’ve played, and we’re above them in the league, but Sky etc can gush over the scousers as at the moment they are top."
Re: ‚ö? Arsenal v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Whoever wins the league this year is probably going to do it on a very low total , as all will continue beating each other , 10 upwards is a lot of very good teams . The whole league is tough this year with the bottom 3 finding there feet and now causing issues . 33 points is a great total any season but this year its very good , we are 9 points of the top and 4 behind city and 8 ahead of Chelsea after 19 games , its mental . If we could possibly get another 33 points we in with a shout of champions league probably just fail but certainly in the mix ."

"Bell That’s harsh. Whilst I agree Benrahma was a bit peripheral, he got better and he was there to defend, close down and stayed alert. Watch the match again. Confidence is clearly lower than it should be (hence his penalty) but he’ll come back."

Fortunately the outliers in this group don’t make the decisions. If they did we’d have been relegated last year.

"What was the more significant result for Premier League football this week - us winning away at Arsenal or Manchester United coming back to beat Aston Villa at home? I only ask because the BBC are still trying to squeeze Hojlands first goal as the greatest thing that has happened in football; just look at the wording style differences between the two match reports - one recent and icy (ours), one less recent and gushing with praise about ""United"" (Who?) having turned the corner (again! - all those corners will attract an abundance of Indian shopkeepers if they're not careful). Do the BBC actually report for the benefit of football fans, or is their true target audience the ""long suffering partners of football fans"", trying to educate and inform them on why, because the BBC have upped sticks and moved to Manchester, ""United"" are the only (English) team worth following?"

Completely agree that Kudus has been impressive in how he has provided defensive cover on the right; he will be sorely missed. Definitely a priority area for Steidten in the window.

"Fantastic result. Hats off to the manager and the players for that one. Resolute defending and took our chances when they came. Incredibly committed and very hard to fault it. Moyes is such a dichotomy. Some of the performances have been awful and a really tough watch but you simply can’t argue with the results on the whole this season. 6th on 33 points at the end of the year, knockout stages in Europe AGAIN and a cup quarter final although that was the one real stain on the season. We do however seem to have found a good combo up top and an acceptable and effective way of playing. Question is if this carries on, what happens at the end of the season?"

"Coufal will miss Kudus for sure. His defensive covering, pressing is a huge asset in addition to his attacking prowess. He doubles up with Coufal to help stop wingers and wing backs on an overload getting in behind to cross etc. Martinelli had no answer as he likes space to run into and there was none. Everything from here on comes down to Steidten and his recruitment. We need strengthening in Jan just to compensate for Kudus at AFCON , injuries and cover for Alvarez who is also now a key player as we have no one to replace or rotate him with. Fingers crossed Steidten has targets and can shift a few out to finance them"

"I never thought Oggy was totally finished after a couple of poor games, on the decline, yes, but he's way too good just to become totally shit. Dino's goal will give him a lot of confidence and make feel that he's put down a marker with the fans etc. To be on 33 points for year end is huge, and it's looking like we are going to be giving ourselves a good chance of qualifying for Europe again via the league. Beating Brighton would be another big win."

"Superb win without our first choice centre halves and Paqueta off After Brighton on Jan 2 we have 19 days before our next league game at Sheff Utd. Doubt Paqueta would have played in the FA Cup anyway Great end to the year with clean sheet League wins against Wolves, Man U & Arsenal"

Couldn’t give a fuck about the Arsenal fans. Just happy West Ham won. Let’s hope Paqueta isn’t out for too long. Him and Kudus will be huge misses.
