"Side of Ham 11:41 Wed Nov 29 I thought any local zoo/safari park would take used Xmas trees, but the owner has to take it there - they won't come and collect it."

Invested in a good quality plastic one about a decade ago in order to miss out on sifting through with the heathens annually. Generally they end up stinking and drying out and then you have to get rid of the fucker as the local refuse is getting more and more of an awkward cսnt seeing what neighbours have to go through (remains outside uncollected for about a month). Pre Christmas is all what is bad about a capitalist country‚Ķ.but Christmas itself is great.

Plastic with loads of baubles and lights. I like to see real ones...at other peoples houses or establishments :-)

We've used the same artificial tree for more than 20 years. It is quality plastic (if there is such a thing) but its long life has saved at least 23 trees from being chopped and counting...

"Artificial - just like the festival it is supposed to represent. Oh, and fossil fuel powered lighting, too. Lots."
