Brigit Forsyth RIP

Post Manuel »

"Actress Brigit Forsyth, who starred in Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads?, has died at the age of 83, her agent has confirmed. Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads was a good, if not great, sitcom. Always remembered the episode when they were trying to avoid the result of the England game and watch it later. RIP."

Loved that episode. She looked hot in the Peter Pan costume with the green fishnet tights - and displayed some impressive raspberries in her see through nightie whem Terry was trying to deliver Bob on the fork lift. One of the best episodes of a great series. RIP Brigit/Thelma pet

"I know it's been mentioned on here before, but it's still a shock when you see these people for maybe the first time in 40 or 50 years... of course it's daft that we expect them to look 'how they did back then' but the sad truth is, your brain WANTS that and so it EXPECTS it. Cue confusion and upset, then, when you are faced with the reality of 'tempus fugit'... That's how it is with the past - our thoughts and memories are usually tied to specific people and places that time has long since taken away. I've recently had personal experience of this with someone I had a very intense, intimate relationship with back in the mid 70s... she decided (after all this time ffs) to track me down through social media. I was her 'first' so we had some interesting conversation about it all, but really it was like talking to a stranger otherwise, because I couldn't tie the personal nature of the conversations to the image in front of me. My brain was saying, ""No, no, don't tell HER these things, you should be talking to *gorgeous 17 year old still studying for A levels at the local girls grammar school*. Crazy shit..."

The Bike race was another great episode. Bewes & Bolam supposedly had a big falling out that went unresolved. RiP
