The all conquering U21s take on Wycombe in the last 16 of the EFL Trophy on Tuesday evening. One of only two PL U21 teams left in the competition (with Brighton) pushing to become the first U21 to reach the Trophy Final at Wembley. "I thought the younhsters played well, we were caught napping by Wycombe's fast start and we gifted them their second but for large periods of the game we looked the better side, playing a fast paced passing game. Some of the lads are only teenagers and are quite lightweight so it did look like men against boys at times but they'll only get better and stronger as they mature so we came away disappointed to get knocked out on a freezing night but looking forward to seeing some of them come through in the future and yes Sully was there, not sure if Moyes was with him but his red roller was parked outside"

Disappointing result ... slow start probably not helped by 3 weeks without a game Now that the incentive of going to Wembley is gone maybe 4 or 5 of the lads should go out on loan somehwhere

pdbis - the first team (LOL) doesn't play again until the cup replay so shouldn't be an issue. If Moyes isn't at Wycombe on Tuesday that is criminal IMO...
