That is impressive no matter how many goals we went behind he never put on any attacking type player. What a ferking loser. He should drop bowen and kudus for the next game see if he can get the ultimate team of defenders.

Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
"Speaking of comments. Moyes, during his post match interview, praised Arsenal for stepping it up since last time we met that. Then added that he only could talk for his own team, and added ""I don't know why we played so badly."" Weird isn't it, if he doesn't know, who does? He also keep on saying his defence and his defenders alway have been very good. But never a word about his attacking midfield and forwards. He only cares about defending! And how ironic, that our best player this season have been Areola. West Ham are leading the line with most shots against this season! 700 in total ?ü§£"
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
Onsideman - funny you should say that because I noticed him after the game commenting on a political thread and was awaiting his thoughts on the game but he didn't bother.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
We were lucky against Bournemouth who should have also been 4-0 at half time.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
I'm waiting for Nutsin to recover from his Superbowl party and get on this thread and tell us we're all acting like Spurs fans before reminding us we've never had it so good.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
In February of 1959 us old Tonsils said: This is the day the Music died as Buddy Holly had been killed in a plane crash. Yesterday the football died for me February 2024. I have supported this Club for 59 years and for me when I saw all those loyal supporters leave at Half Time I could not blame them. I said to myself the best demonstration to the Poisoned Dwarf and Lady Muck could get is for every loyal supporter to boycott the Brentford game with their feet. Have 30k in the Stadium instead of 60k. Maybe they will then wake up. Somehow I doubt it.........but yesterday was the end for me until this fuckin idiot of a Manager is gone.

"dealcanvey 4:04 And that right there is a demonstration of an old fashioned 'dinosaur' if you will approach to football, and the way England and English football has been historically viewed. That you win games by being bigger and stronger and dominating the opposition in both penalty boxes. Opposing players and managers are too clever and too skillful/resourceful for that to work now. They use movement and skill to play round or through you, and as you're focusing on physical attributes too much, you overlook it. We are simply just behind the times in our approach to the game and it shows. And you can't just plonk a 'finesse' player like Aguerd into it, it just doesn't work unless it's a holistic view. The one thing that even our 'skill' players (Paq, Kudus, Bowen, Antonio- debatable i admit but you know what I mean) have in common is that they are absolute workhorses and grafters as well who get stuck in physically. Not a coincidence that Benny, Cornet, Fornals, Ings and others find themselves on the outside looking in. Those who you would argue are more skill over physicality."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
"dealcanvey 4:04 Mon Feb 12 Can't argue with that along with the ""David Moyes teams are tough to beat"" drum. Well his apparent strengths are no longer strengths. Got a lot of concern about the average age of this side as well, we are looking an old, weak, slow team."

"'We're not as big and powerful as we were. Our stature helped us score goals and defend set-pieces. We've just started to look as if we've not got that stature in the side' Moyes confirming that Soucek will play every minute remaining this season. ideally, he would sign a few more regardless of footballing ability."

"I didn’t switch my TV off, but equally I missed large parts of the 2nd half as I found my phone to be more interesting. I wasn’t really doing anything on my phone, it was just more interesting looking blankly at my phone than the TV. I’m in Barcelona airport and I just kind of got served my lunch by a robot. I wasn’t really paying attention as I was reading WHO and then there was suddenly a squeaky voice saying “Here I am”. I looked up and there were some kind of shelves on wheels by my table with some fish and chips on them. I looked at them and a waiter came over and gave me my lunch. I guess we have to get used to this nonsense."

The best way to protest against the dross we are witnessing on the pitch isn't to walk out at half time when they have already got your dough but to stay and let all parties know what you think of the dogshit you are watching. As for staying away and not renewing season tickets unfortunately gate receipts make up a very small percentage of revenue these days compared to the TV billions so should Sullivan finally manage to get a decent manager in you might of cut your nose of to spite your face. "Sutton can fuck right off, the cսnt. There's someone who doesn't understand one iota what it's like to be an actual football fan, let alone a West Ham fan. If we'd have been showing an ounce of fight and an inkling of getting back into it then people would have stayed. I stayed until it was clear that if anything it was just going to be more of the same rather than any sort of a fight back. We didn't even have anyone on the bench with the tools to change anything. And re: the booing of Rice, it was clearly just pantomime stuff rather than with anything actually behind it. There was applause when he actually went to take his first corner. Piers Morgan can fuck off for commenting on it. A complete exec lounge wanker who doesn't understand actual football in the slghtest but likes to gob off about it as if he does. Like the majority of noveau arsenal fans to be honest."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
if you want a reset that's actually effective next season start NOW. We cannot wait on Moyes leaving and there is no point seeing the season through with him still here stinking it out. Its perfect timing to get a new manager in to start planning for next season now. Sullivan wont see it this way though. He'll be on the phone to Steve Bruce in July once he's spent the next 3 months dawdling over this.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
"I have often posted on here my views on Moyes which were not necessarily attacking him. For some, those posts were as good as me defending him. Yesterday, though, wasn’t a turning point for me. For a while I’ve hacked off by our loss of initiative on the pitch and chasing shadows and waiting for lucky breaks. Yesterday, though, was the day that it’s clear that Moyes and his backroom staff have made their positions untenable. May as well see the season out, cement our Prem status and have a pop at the Europa, but start to look for a complete reset for next season. I’d fancy letting Brentford’s Frank have a go. Need someone to bring on some of our young guns."

"I left. I'd seen enough to tell me we weren't going to score and Arsenal could almost score at will. It wasn't a contest. It was men and boys. I'm pretty sure they desperately wanted to do that after three games without a win and two losses this season playing decent football. They wanted to both school us and humiliate us and I'd had enough. However, if you love great passing possession football that would have been your game to go to. Just the wrong side doing it. We've come back from other drubbings recently so hopefully they'll find a way out of it."

"Football's not a job for some fans, so how the fuck can it be a job for those that play the game (for a living)? Oh, and if you leave West Ham that means (MEANS, 100%) that you support Putin, love all what Hamas did and are a complete, no-mark, traitorous cսnt. innit?"

Rice should be treated the same way as any other player has who left for a London rival when there was another option available. It’s more embarrassing that people applauded him when he went over to take a corner at the Bobby Moore end.

"Come you know Twoleftfeet never wanted that. If it’s anyone that sometimes posts hoping we lose it’s the Moyes out crowd. Have to say after yesterday it is very hard to see how anyone wants Moyes to continue. I hope Moyes does a Klopp, which would be good for everyone including Moyes."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
That true thay Rice was boo'd? Tbf that is fucking embarrassing. Imagine watching that shit and knowing as a fan that our owners and manager are fucking useless and begrudge a player wanting to actually move away from it to further their career after carrying the team for a few years. Betting Paq and Kudus aren't boo'd at their new clubs bext season.
