Re: Klopp Leaving
"Yup, I have said i think this is tied to Salah as well. He knows if Krusty goes that he doesn't really have any great forwards any more and they are stuck long term with Gakpo and Nunez who are OK but below the standard, so it's going to be a battle. Van Dijk isn't getting any younger either. It's a good time to exit as I reckon they might be on a down slope. He'll walk into any top job as soon as he wants another one. Barca, Germany, whatever he wants. Bloke is a cսnt, but no denying his track record there."

"Stevethehammer 5:40 Mon Jan 29 I think you may well be right. I also think he's been tapped up by German FA and they've said to him win us the next world cup. He'll finish with scouse, have a nice summer, watch the Euro's, go on holiday, take some time and then pick up the German reigns for their 2026 qualifying."

Re: Klopp Leaving
"I reckon they have decided to sell Salah to Saudi, he has thrown his toys out of the pram yet again and they have binned him off. All this I'm leaving because I'm tired etc doesn't wash with me personally. Liverpool are the only team close to knocking city off their perch, the Kraut knows it but they aren't gonna back him."
Re: Klopp Leaving
"Not that we need an incentive to win another European trophy, but stopping these cunts from winning in his last season would be superb. Still owe them for Cardiff."

Re: Klopp Leaving
One Premier league (with a COVID asterisk against it) in a decade after all the money he has spent. No wonder he has been sacked Sky going on endlessly as though he was DEAD Another 5 months of this before he fucks off
Re: Klopp Leaving
Vexed. You're right. Hopefully take Coufal and Soucek with him to replace Salah and Trent
Re: Klopp Leaving
"I guess he did want a project, but one that wasn't impossible to accomplish. To be fair Liverpool had finished 7th, 6th, 8th, 7th, 2nd and 6th in the 6 years prior to him joining, and were 10th when he took over. Turning them into a regular top 4 side and winning the PL and CL would have been seen as a pretty big project for anyone."

"West Ham definitely approached Klopp about the job in 2015, but both Sullivan and Klopp said the reason he turned it down was that it was too soon and he wanted to take a bit of a break after quitting the Dortmund job. He got the Liverpool job offer in October."

Re: Klopp Leaving
"""I would have a concern here. Alonso is the front runner. He’s worked with big Tim Steidten"" Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that. They worked together for about 4 months. People seem to think that Steidten hired Alonso but he wasn't the one making the decisions. For most of his time there he was behind both an MD of Sports and a director of football. When the MD of Sports (Rudi Voller) left, the director of football, Simon Rolfes, was promoted but decided to take on both jobs rather than promote Steidten, which is why he started looking for jobs elsewhere."
