Where is the best pub in Plaistow to watch a game?
"Coming to london next month and staying around the Excel. Our European away game will be on the Thursday. I thought I'd either go to the Boleyn, if they show football now, or somewhere in Plaistow. Any recommedations?"

One that doesn't have a television. At least going on yesterday's evidence anyway.

"The Black Lion and Lord Stanley are both West Ham. Try the Black lion first (it's closer to Plaistow Station) and if you don't fancy it walk around to the Stanley, it has a big screen."

Re: Where is the best pub in Plaistow to watch a game?
I was pleased to see the Greyhound is still going strong .In the early nineties me and a mate arranged to meet a couple of young ladies in there after a game. One of them worked for a company I dealt with at work but it was the first time I had met her in the flesh so it was a bit like a Gavin and Stacey type thing. We ended up going to a house party in what appeared to be a totally empty house bar the sound system and booze and then back to her mates house on the Gascoigne estate. I can't remember much about what happened later to be honest but woke up with one bird either side and an Alsatian at the foot of the bed. I managed to find my jeans and gingerly sneak out for a piss but was all a bit disorientated My mate was in the living room chatting to an enormous Slavic bloke with a mars bar from ear to cheek and wearing more gold than Ron Atkinson who turned out to be the other birds on off boyfriend called Dragon We made our excuses and pissed off with the two birds still kipping. A funny old night all in all and walking past that pub after the victory parade bought back the memories.

From yesterday’s revelation that Pickle has actually been to West Ham ONCE he’s now dishing out advice on which pubs to go. Tomorrow he’ll be telling his story of running with the ICF.
