WHU goals at London Stadium

Post wils »

Watching Kudu's goal against Freiburg I was thinking it ranked as one of the best goals I have seen the team score at this stadium. Is it 'the' best though? Was Andy Carrol's overhead kick against Palace better?

Lanzini's rocket against N17 for pure exhilaration.

"My favourite was a Lanzini goal, against Palace maybe same game as Carroll’s bicycle kick. On the break, lightning speed and a little dink over the keeper."

Payet picking the ball up on the halfway line - a yard in from the touchline and ending up with 2-3 Boro defenders on their arse before finishing from 8 yards will not be beaten. The mardy lardy genius.

Impressive as Payet's goal was I interpreted it as an act of frustration. It came across as though he was losing is temper with the way we were playing. His moody lack of celebration afterwards tainted it. Still amazing goal though.

"I preferred Rice's goal against Gent to Mo's, especially as he won the ball first well in our half but both are great. Yes, Carroll's overhead kick was lovely too and Payet scored a great goal against Boro when he took on about three or four players"
