Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread
Moyse was just trying to con the critics that he plays youth players
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread
"but too few and far between, for example when we were 4 -1 up against Brentford, would have been a perfect time to bring on the youth. but instead he thinks when we are losing 4 -0 to fulham is the time to play him when they are sat on the bench for the whole season there were time he should have but didn't. Also he never brought 2 on in a game until this weekend ......"

"Jasnik, yeah, on the odd occasions that Moyes played the youths or generally let the players off the leash it felt a bit like a game show host saying, ""here's what you could have won""."

"Exactly that, Trundle, which makes it all even worse with regards to his unhealthy obsession with Phillips. Should have stuck with Downes and played him in his natural position when we needed cover but then like Alvarez, Downes wasn't a Moyes signing either..."

Oh god no... Nutsacks now giving the youth players the eye.... he really is a repugnant nonce.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread
It doesn't excuse Moyes because we should use our resources for our best purpose and undoubtedly he would have played if he had still been with us but as it worked out Downes having a standout season in the Championship and hopefully coming back with his reputation enhanced will stand the player and us in good stead for next season. Earthy looks a good prospect to throw into the mix too.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread
"Lee Trundle 1:49 Mon May 13 Yeah, no doubt he was, although he probably only started that first game as Paqueta and Antonio were both out and he played 4 CMs. But even if Phillips replaced Alvarez in the first 11, as in the Burnley game, it still meant there was a backup for the DM role and he wouldn't need to have the godawful pairing of Soucek and JWP (except as Phillips turned out to be so gash he did end up doing that again)."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread
"Well done Earthy, lets hope the new guy believes in giving youth a chance and we catch up with the rest of the premiership clubs!"

There's no chance Moyes signed Phillips for back up. He was signed to play in the first team. He started the first game after he joined.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread
"Yeah, it's true enough. In the 10 games Alvarez missed before Luton, the only team we beat was Backa Topola. We definitely needed a decent DM backup, although it would have been much better and hugely cheaper if we'd have just kept Downes instead."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread
"We got Phillips to cover for Alvarez and his inevitable suspensions , if he had been the player we expected him to be it would have been a sensible signing ….. but he wasn’t ."

To think that we got Phillips in instead of giving this lad more time is fucking criminal and a sacking offence on it's own. Exactly that.

"It's important for youngsters to have some confidence and arrogance as well as ability or they will just get bullied. Very early with Earthy of course but he looks a talent, comfortable on the ball and makes himself available. Good movement. You have to wonder why he didn't get more opportunities earlier in the season, oh I know! To think that we got Phillips in instead of giving this lad more time is fucking criminal and a sacking offence on it's own."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Luton - Official Match Thread - Preview
"Earthy passed the eye test for me, didn’t look like the occassion was too big for him, seemed to fit in well with the pace of the game, looks a bit lively, something we need around the opponents box. Gives us another approach on goal. Dont want to see him thrown in straight away but some solid sub performances could see him break into the first team as a regular by mid October, I’m hoping anyway."

Not too much too much to get excited about either way in this game. Although towards the end the Earth(y) did move just a bit for me ;)

"Classic flat track bully Moyes result. And even then it only took the last half an our or so to correct a shocking hour of Football against the mighty Luton Town at Home. The one real shining light to come from yesterday though was the sight of George Earthy running rings around them and capping it off with an intelligent instinctive goal to go along with a Man of the Match performance, even though he was only on the pitch for 15 odd minutes. If only the Manager had believed in you more during the season, Earthy then we could have been treated to more excellent performances from you. He looks a real gem to come from the Academy and it doesn't surprise me having seen him play similar for the youth set-up. He ain't the only one either......"

"Gph, We all know that’s a blatant lie, all you have to do is read the last page of this thread to see who is doing the stalking you thick twat. Not very smart of you I must say. Anyway, got to get back to grooming, yesterday’s visit to the beach reminded me that chicks still dig me."

"Earthy's goal impressed me, too Striker's instincts should be present throughout the team. He's got better instincts than most of the actual strikers we've had over the years"

"I've posted about Nutsin about 30 times in the last year, almost all in reply to him addressing me. Since you're too stupid to work this out for yourself, Nutsin: People who are desperate to appear important enough to be stalked come across as friendless dolts. No-one's stalking you. That's just the best in the way of self-aggrandisement you can come up with"
