"When the fixtures came out last summer, how many of us looked at the first game of the season and then immediately at the last? And did you also, like me, wonder what, if any, significance the last game might have? Well, here we are and the significance is massive – thankfully not for us, but for the final shape of the table. Assuming Arsenal, currently in second spot, beat Everton – a reasonable assumption – our game at the Etihad becomes the only fixture of any importance. It is also a reasonable assumption that City will tear us a new one, so let’s not kid ourselves otherwise. The last day of the Moyes era gives way to the J-Lo epoch. What do you wish for? All games kick off at 4.00pm. Next season begins on Saturday 17 August. Fixtures will be released at 9.00am on Tuesday 18 June. ¡Hasta luego! ARSENAL vs EVERTON Home win. BRENTFORD vs NEWCASTLE UNITED Away win. BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs MANCHESTER UNITED Draw. BURNLEY vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST Home win. CHELSEA vs BOURNEMOUTH Home win. CRYSTAL PALACE vs ASTON VILLA Draw. LIVERPOOL vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS Home win. Auf wiedersehen, Klopp. LUTON TOWN vs FULHAM Draw. MANCHESTER CITY vs WEST HAM UNITED Away win, SHEFFIELD UNITED vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Away win."

"To some who were crowing how Gary O'Neil has shown Lopetegui up this season in the League, Wolves finished in 14th place. Whereas last season with half a season to manage in, Lopetegui took over crisis Club to get Wolves 1 place higher in 13th (above Moyes West Ham) from a starting position of rock bottom when he took them over completely fucked. Hopefully he'll be officially announced this coming week."

"Great, now Benrahma has just assisted Lacazette with Lyons goal. What great Squad management masterclass this season has been involving Benrahma, Kehrer, Scamacca, Fornals, whilst bringing in the hapless Phillips. Fucking boils my piss we've caused so much self harm this season and all totally avoidable."

Re: Sunday football
Shit wrong thread with the Moyes stuff. Arsenal. How the fuck was their second goal given? Clear fucking handball in the build up. What a joke. Imagine if that had won them the league? VAR never failing to shine. Also two things. All their fans and players looking bereft was very funny. But they had someone signing the interviews with Odegaard and Arteta who frankly looked like he wanted to cry. And he was introduced as the ‘men’s manager’. Painfully right on.

Re: Sunday football
Well that was classic Moyes. Actually had them on the back foot at the end of the first half through a moment of brilliance albeit against the run of play so what do we do? Try and apply some pressure in the second half at the start to capitalise? Nope just sit back like fucking pussies. And then bring on Alvarez AFTER they inevitably score a third. What the fuck. Cheers for the trophy Dave but it’s beyond time.

"Is the answer, having more than 3% possession of the ball all game? (The 3% possession being the Goalkeeper retrieving the ball out of our net)"

"Cheers for doing these all season coffers old bean! Just about to tuck into a Sunday roast then down the Pub to watch the game, did actually pass on a ticket but schedule would have made things tight and it wasn’t in the away end! The thought of being sat there as Man City fans celebrated wining the PL was a bit nauseous……….. Mind you we should stuff them, you know it makes sense, Everton to get a point at the Emirates with a last minute controversial VAR fuck up and couldn’t ask for a better outcome. COYI"

"Coffee - Fair enough, but I always thought you were an optimist, albeit not a simple optimist like some I could name. I agree that we could win today, but only if Man City fail to turn up."

"Manuel 2:03 Sun May 19 Yes, that is exactly what I'm implying. At the start of every season, I find myself conflicted. On the one hand, I hope for a top three finish. On the other, there's a nagging fear that we'll screw up big time and end the season in yet another fight against relegation. Happy Birthday, Gary! (I'm a few months behind you...) Mex, by now you should know NOT EVER to follow my predictions. ;-)"

"Love that West Ham prediction Coffee, why not, obviously I'll do the same. Yes, thank you Coffee for all these footbal threads. ARSENAL, agree; BRENTFORD, agree; BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION, home win; BURNLEY, agree; CHELSEA, agree; CRYSTAL PALACE, home win; LIVERPOOL, agree and no crying Klopp; LUTON TOWN, home win; MANCHESTER CITY, agree; SHEFFIELD UNITED Agree Happy birthday Gary. 60 significant number. Probably a neutral game is safer for an enjoyable day. Palace playing very nice football at the moment."

Re: Sunday football
Happy birthday gaz. That actually sounds like a decent fixture to go watch as a neutral. Both Glasner and Emery are serious managers who have got their Teams playing some proper Football this season.
