DAILY MAIL Chelsea have made an enquiry about Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. INEOS, owned by Manchester United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, have reportedly hired a lawyer to plead their case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, after UEFA blocked their attempts to sign Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo. Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby is attracting fresh interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr. DAILY TELEGRAPH The Manchester United Supporters' Trust (MUST) have urged Ineos to consult with fans over the ""highly emotive"" issue of a potential stadium naming rights deal. THE GUARDIAN Newcastle will do everything in their power to keep Alexander Isak on Tyneside and have let Chelsea and Arsenal know that it would take an astronomical offer to alter that stance. Sun SHAQ OF THE NET Basketball star Shaquille O’Neal in talks over stake in legendary Premier League club Lakers legend Shaq attended a Prem match last season and is interested in investing in the sport Ellie Henman BASKETBALL star Shaquille O’Neal is in talks about taking a stake in West Ham United. The LA Lakers legend, 52, got the Hammers bug after watching a game last season and has said he is interested in becoming a shareholder. A source told The Sun: “Shaq loves British football and he has been talking about putting some serious cash into the club. ""He went to a game at the end of the season and loved it. It’s now a case of whether the financials stack up for him. ""Shaq is really interested in what deal he could strike.” The Hammers finished ninth in the Premier League last year, a year after winning the Europa Conference League. Fans will likely be delighted with some investment after making a £18.3million loss in the 2022/23 season. Shaq retired in 2011 and was regarded as one of the best centres in the world. The 7ft 1in ace played for six teams during his 19-year career and is a four-time NBA champion. Off the field he turned to commentary and previously revealed he harboured a secret passion for British football. In 2016 he backed Northampton Town when they were pushing from promotion from League Two. Shaq, who co-owned a radio show with the Cobblers’ chairman Kelvin Thomas, recorded a video for the players urging them to secure first place. If Shaq invests in the Hammers he would be the latest US star to put their fortunes into British clubs. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney own Wrexham FC, Anchorman star Will Ferrell is involved at Leeds, and NFL star Tom Brady at Birmingham City. TBR TBR Football now understands that West Ham are continuing to hold talks with intermediaries of Real Betis left-back Juan Miranda. The former Barcelona defender is set to leave Betis at the end of this month, when his contract will expire. As expected, several European sides are keen on a move, including Portuguese giants FC Porto, who have also held talks. West Ham in talks to sign Real Betis’ Juan Miranada who will soon be a free agent TBR understands that West Ham have been watching the 24-year-old for months, who is set to be one of Spain’s over-aged players at this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris. Miranda made 32 appearances for Betis last season, who will be loath to lose their ‘outstanding’ talent. But Betis’ loss could be West Ham’s gain, who need better depth at left-back given Aaron Cresswell is now 34-years-old. Emerson Palmieiri has proved his credentials as a starter in the Premier League, but any injury to the Italian would currently spell problems for Lopetegui. And it’s also important to note that Emerson has been linked with a move away from West Ham this summer. Therefore a move for Miranda, who would be something of a coup on a free transfer, would be a good insurance policy in both regards. TBR understands that Aston Villa had held talks with Miranda before opting to sign Ian Maatsen from Chelsea. Wolverhampton Wanderers also like the Spaniard and see him as a replacement for Rayan Ait-Nouri, should he depart this summer."
