Squad Depth for 24/25 and the Youth

Coming in/back this season we have: Downes (although he may still leave for Southampton) Guilherme Foderingham So in terms of simple numbers we are down by 4 or 5 players who featured for the first team last season. It's early days to answer the question but important none-the-less to consider how many of these available spots will be given to youth players and who are the main contenders? (am I missing anyone?) Luizao Kailan Casey Ollie Scarles George Earthy Freddie Potts Lewis Orford Callum Marshall Gideon Kodua How many of these can we genuinely expect to: Provide a genuine contribution to the first team, with a starting opportunity here and there? Earn a cameo role here and there as part of development? be loanded out in the lower leagues? Keep the bench warm whilst they play for the development squad?"

"Great questions, difficult to answer though - Earthy I def think will see a lot of football for us next season. Marshall I think could also be useful. Luizao will be on his way I'd think, Potts def a loan, and the other lads Scarles, Casey,Kodua, etc will be loaned. It's a real shame we're not in conference league again, with such few games compared to previous seasons, most of these lads mentioned will be off to League 1"

Was reading that a couple of clubs had made enquires for Lewis Orford & we have dithered over sorting out his contract Also Spurs & Arsenal showing interest in Dan Rigge who is younger than the others at 18 He has 2 years on his contract so they can fuck off

Interesting to see what Loppy does with those young players after seeing them in preseason Earthy looked as though he could have a role with the squad but you could imagine some might be loaned out If he lets Downes go to Southampton he might be seeing a role for Freddie Potts Not seen many of them but also heard good reports about the 20yo right back Junior Carl Robinson
