"Watched the highlights, well taken free kick and goal by Ings, few silly mistakes at the back but nice to see a whole bunch of kids being given a go. Glorified kick about really cant make any conclusions. COYI"

Also on a few occasions telling the keepers and defenders to use the ball quicker. Seems they definitely want a tempo to our play unlike we’ve been watching for the last few years.

"You could Lopetgui or one of the coaches with a foreign accent shouting ""yes yes yes"" as we were moving the ball on the floor around the back line keeping possession and trying to build an attack. Encouraging."

"Only saw the 2nd half. Nothing up top as Tex says. A bit like having Kane lead the England attack. 2nd half only players to catch my eye were Emerson because he’s so comfortable with the ball, Irving who was trying to make thkngs happen and Earthy who can play but might need to beef up a bit more. Early days, a team just at the start of a transition period. We lhad more possession but all of it was in defence or midfield and we couldnt break thru their low block. Which players played first Half?"

Good work out for the lads . The football was played along the ground the vast majority of the game . Rather than the long ball pass to no one of recent times.

Someone should perhaps have told them that it's very easy to over hit crossfield passes when you're playing at altitude

"They're playing their 5 game of pre-season I believe, in the lead up to Champ League qualifiers. Obviously this is for fitness and to start to implement the new style/system, could hear the manager clear and he really wasn't happy, but it was obvious what he wants and expects, how quick he wants them to press and find space, which they were not naturally doing. Players clearly rusty as fuck. Bear in mind also it's about 30 degrees out there. Just a couple of observations, Kodua won't make it with us I don't think, doesn't seem to have a football brain. Potts has the physicality but looks a year or two off, needs another loan. Mavropanos produced one of the most inept displays you'll ever see, pre-season or not. Struggle to see him as a regular in a pass and move team. Really like the look of Orford, you can see what the fuss is about. Could be a back up this season on this little viewing."
