"""People will say ""it's only preseason"" but we should be on the same level of intensity as the likes of Palace and Wolves, who both beat us pretty convincingly."" Didnt we have way more players missing than both of them though? The 2nd half of the Wolves game was essentially our young lads v their first team squad players Villa lost all their games aswell, so can't use the pre season excuse for that one anyway"

"I know this will automatically think to some on here that this is me on his back, but I thought one of the biggest positives about Lopetegui coming was that he immediately got Wolves playing much better when he joined them? People will say ""it's only preseason"" but we should be on the same level of intensity as the likes of Palace and Wolves, who both beat us pretty convincingly."

"""give the team a chance...""? What team? The usual players we identified as crap under Moyes, or the new to be team under our new manager? Billy is spot on here, get a grip"

"Relax you fucking lemons. Already turning on the new manager ffs. Palace were playing well at the end of last season, they are a well managed team, we’ve taken a step back because of all the changes, wtf did you expect? Unfucking real how clueless you cunts are. Give the team a chance."

"Yeah, I've questioned his judgement, understandably so, I think. I don't think he realised how poor our squad was (which is his job) and he wanted Cresswell and Ings for Wolves before he walked ffs. I also criticised Kilman's performance (and it concerns me a little that the Wolves fans I've spoken with were much more concerned about the possibility of losing O'Neill to us than they were Kilman), but where have I written him off? Don't put words in my mouth, son."

"Onsideman I was referring to your statement : Back 4 looked dreadful and given the £40m tag, Kilman possibly the worst. Lopetegui's determination to have him along with his obvious affection for a past-it Cresswell means his judgement appears somewhat questionable at this stage. So you've written off Kilman and questioned the managers judgement during pre-season because hes used players whilst he rebuilds the squad... He's clearly playing the formation he wants but doesnt have the players in place yet, so you are suggesting Lopetegui doesnt know what he's doing... Id rather trust in the manager until we are some way through the season before coming to any conclusions... I agree Cresswell should be nowhere near the first team but cut the manager some slack if you are not knicker wetting you've a pretty wet gusset..."

"Watched the lowlights Fuck me Coufal is a shocking RB defensively, that's what we need, defenders who can fucking defend Id like to think the first 11 will be devoid of Coufal, Cresswell, Mavropanos, JWP, Souceck and Antonio"

There was also another game before it . We won 3 0 . It never ceases to amaze me how seriously some fans take pre season matches..it's all about 10 minutes here half hour there and so on . It's like a boxer sparring. Means absolute jack shit . 5 30 on august 17th is when it counts .

"BJB I saw nothing last season to suggest that Coufal, Mavropanos and Cresswell were cumulatively capable of moving us on as a club, so yeah I'm happy to defend that. That, however, is not a pre-season knicker-wetting, it's a statement of fact, son"

"If you start any game with Coufal, Mavropanos and Cresswell in your back 4 - regardless of the quality or otherwise of Kilman as the 4th - you will struggle. Rodriguez, Summerville, Fullkrug aren't going to remedy that"

"Watched the game last night, and managed to stay awake, more than our defenders could! Not yet panicking and I know we have a lot of players to come in. The concern has to be there isn't much time to get them up to speed. Not just physically ( although that is going to be important if we are playing a higher press ) but just familiarisation within the set-up. Getting in good players is one thing getting them playing as a team is another. Slow starts in the Premiership are hard to come back from. Happy to be proved wrong but as it stands we will struggle to start with without a doubt."
