Rice not celebrating was fucking cringe, pathetic. He's proper started to grind my gears.
Fair play to Grealish, one of the few players in the game that makes it worth watching.

It's probably a given that Carsley gets the job now.
I listened to a bit of Dean Ashton who I imagine has had to watch the U21's more than I have over the years due to his job.
He reckons Carsley is cut from the same cloth Southgate is, and if you look at their recent U21 Euro win, Spain wiped the floor with us.

Re: England B Team (Paddies) v England UEFA Nations League
That's the thing with maverick players though, for the occasional shir they do serve up they then come up with a piece of brilliance that makes all the difference. The Cup Final assist for Bowen to score the winning goal springing immediately to mind. We've been here before with Paqueta having a dogshit spell only to then be reminded as to why we tolerate the times he doesn't come up to the mark.
I do feel he's not been quite the same player since he's had the Betway case hanging over him since the start of last season. For me it shows and weighs heavily on his mind which I don't think helps at all.
A spell out may be just what he needs to get that focus and hunger back to kick on again.

It was a very short pass that your nan could have made. Anyway, was just saying what I read, I actually quite like him still for his passion and efforts in a game, but he's possibly the worst passer of a Brazilian footballer I've ever seen, it's really about time this fella started making some proper contributions or he'll be benched for Soler.

Re: England B Team (Paddies) v England UEFA Nations League
I don't think we sat back on the lead. I think we were trying, but over-hyped show-ponies like Saka, Kane, Alexander-Arnold, Mainoo and Gordon offered absolutely nothing. All cack. All the defence kept 'playing out of defence' by the cunning method of giving the ball to the other team. As soon as we prepare to begin a big tournament the press start hyping up our bang average players, who look decent in domestic football when surrounded by superior foreigners. Then they are surprised when these average players disappoint.
I though Rice and Grealish were OK - that was about it. Bowen
was better than any of them.

England went to win the game. The fact we rubbed shit in their faces just added the cherry on the top. When we get to the next World cup we will fail again. That's what the Irish can celebrate.

Re: England B Team (Paddies) v England UEFA Nations League
Apparently Paqueta spent the whole Brazil game passing to the other team and being dispossessed and is now kopping a load of stick on SM, being described as a symbol of Brazil's regression. But hey, he tries things

Agree with Manuel
All the followimg just my opinion of course.
Nothing really learned until we play a decent side in a meaningful competition match. Yes Gordon and Grealish down the left is better ( as every English fan suggedted during the euros) but that was about it.
Kane is no longer a starter imo and in reality his days as an England striker should be numbered. Simply too slow to lead the line on his own. Might still have a squad role if we ever play 2 up front. But 32 next birthday so needs to be eased out before next WC. Watkins and the likes of Bowen need more opportunities to stake a claim for the central striker role.
Trent Alexander is a liability in defence and always will be. His undoubted ability, vision with passing will not compensate for this liability over a series of games and especially against the best national sides.
We lack the guile, creativity, craft in central midfield. A player who can unlock a defence with a pass or chip or instinctive ball thru. Not sure if that English playmaker exists ? A Modric type or even a Paqueta ( on a good day ) etc
Finally, Maguire is not the future and another simply too slow on his feet and will be exposed against the best. We have a lot of younger, athletic English CBs that need to be given a chance as part of building for the next WC.

I'll be watching the return leg at home with a specially prepared poster saying "The snake is back" and booing when practically every Irish player touches the ball... Especially that Sammie Szmodics! What a snake he is. Booooooo

Re: England B Team (Paddies) v England UEFA Nations League
Two up against a weak side and sit back?? Would be nice to have some clue about the new manager search, has it been called off? The synic in me says what really is the point any longer anyway, just the hope I suppose, but we all know how this ends, get to the world cup, advance to the latter stages, meet a good side and lose? So what's the point?
Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France have all won trophies in recent times, even Holland did back in 88, plus Denmark and Greece, yet England nothing. It's nothing short of an absolute fucking scandal. Losers.

Scotland 1 England 3 comfortable winners away against another home nations side this time last year.
Our quality of players are miles better and dont even have to get out of 1st gear to do what we do to them these days.

We actually tried to play a bit of football, so that’s already an improvement on Southgate.
Re: England B Team (Paddies) v England UEFA Nations League
Average result and we could put a team together from the cunts on here that would give that ROI team a game. Proves nothing. Carsley nailed on for the full time job then.

Re: England B Team (Paddies) v England UEFA Nations League
Funny as fuck.
Actually said to my pal yesterday I can see both Grealish and Rice scoring in a 2-0 win in this fixture back in their manor, wish I put a bet on now...
The Footballing God's can sure be cruel sick, twisted bastards at times when they wanna be. Oh and all English too, naturally.

in terms of natural ability he is as good as it gets.
Roy Keane was right, the players were show boating in the 2nd half. Very frustrating as we should have won 5-0 or more 9 shots on target. TTA couldn't find an England player. Poor 2nd half and Bowen would have score dif he came on 10 minutes earlier.
The goals were superb and the players could have driven home a message.
As it is they are still parking the car and not delivered the point over.
if they can build on the 1st half they will destroy someone with a hatful. I like Gordon left wing. Mainoo is a bit slow and gets caught with the ball, the short arse fella to start against Finland.
Still a 2-0 win away from and it's a good start.

Encouraging signs early on, but what's really changed? Slabhead back at CB, TAA at RB and the North London Mong still captan. Give Carsley a ten year deal
