Together with the other fans’ groups on the Independent Supporters Committee, Hammers United has been working with the Club for months to achieve the best possible terms for the new construct: The West Ham United Fans Advisory Board.
The ISC remains totally independent of the Club and will continue to work on behalf of West Ham supporters and acting as a conduit for fans’ issues to be represented via the FAB.
The Hammers United Committee submitted a detailed application to join the FAB, which has been accepted, and we are invited to the inaugural meeting on September 11th.
It is now up to our members to decide whether or not we take our seat at the table.
Our committee is acutely aware of the previous unsuccessful incarnations of fan engagement constructs at West Ham, with a key reason being the Club’s consistent failure to honour its obligations to meaningfully engage and consult with its counterparts.
However, if we are to engage with and challenge the Club on matters impacting our members then we believe we would be in a stronger position to do this as part of the FAB.
We are, and will always be, an independent, transparent and democratic organisation which acts on behalf of our members’ best interests, and we will always retain the right to lawfully and peacefully protest whenever we deem it necessary to do so.
Our committee has weighed up the pros and cons of joining the FAB and now request that our members give us the mandate to do so.
We require our members to vote using the contact form (see the link below) below and simply state one of the following:
