Re: England vs Finland
TBH, im not actually bothered about going to the UK, if anything having been in May i would rather have given it a miss, all the travel and upheaval i could do without.
Not sure what your beef is with me though, seems everything i post up you try and find fault with or come in with some comment, not sure why, has me scratching my head but you're not the first or only one on here to call me a thick cսnt, pointless or weird, just part of the course on WHO to some degree and most of the time i just swim past it
.
As to Heskey, he always came across as a decent fella, he was out in Oz towards the end of his career and was well liked, would have taken him at West Ham in his prime, seeing what we had at that time he could have been good for us, even if he did fuck things up at times

Re: England vs Finland
I never said he was shit, only i wished his son well and did better than his old man! He was a big lump who should have maybe scored a lot more? He always put in a shift as i remember but 3 or 4 seasons at Liverpool and they were glad to get shot of him.
Did get a few Caps for England but the only goal that stands out is the one in that 5-1 flogging of Zee Germans, as above most pundits were critical of his goal tally at both club and international level.
This video is harsh but if you're telling me you can't remember some of his misses and fuck ups than im not sure im the Dim one

Re: England vs Finland
You're a proper dim cսnt Sydney, Heskey was a good player. The career he had including 62 England caps tells any wally that. The chances of any offspring of his being 'better' than he was are no more than 1%.

Re: England vs Finland
I see the son of Emile Heskey came off the bench on his U17 England debut against Zee Germans scored the 3rd goal as well in a 3-1 win! Well done son.
Hes called Reigan, FFS what is it with stupid names for your kids from footballers? but good luck to the kid, hope he makes it and is better than his old man, sure i remember Heskey senior missing some absolute sitters in his career!

Re: England vs Finland
Fair enough if you think he's going to be good enough for us by the time the World Cup comes along but I'm just not convinced by him bar when we coast against the likes of Ireland and Finland. One thing looking the part against them Teams with all the time and space in the world, I just wasn't convinced at any point during the Euros or that he'll be able to produce it when he could be coming up against much better opposition.
For me, injuries permitting of course, it's James game at Right Back that gives me hope for that position at Right Back not Trent. A lot does depend on his fitness though which is an issue unfortunately.

Re: England vs Finland
Kyle Walker has probably been the best right back on the planet over the last 5 or so years.
He still starts regularly for the best team in europe, so not being able to displace him is no shame.
TAA lost his starting place because Southgate got the balance of the midfield all wrong. They were equally crap without him as with him in the side.
He manages just fine against the worlds best week in, week out. That is why he plays for one of the top teams on the planet.

Re: England vs Finland
Because he couldn't manage keeping his starting place in the Euros just gone and couldn't dislodge a 34yo Right Back either. He can't manage that, then he's not going to then manage it against the world's best as well. Surely if you believe he is that good already, then starting regularly in the Euros would have happened. Not even Southgate believed he could cut it in the end and he's right to think that.

I’d guess he was busy keeping a clean sheet.
Hardly proof he can’t cut it on the big stage is it?
over 200 PL games, a CL winner, PL winner and apparently can’t cut it………
Fuck sake, thought we were going on about Kane earlier so getting wires crossed there when it was actually Trent I referred too wasnt it.
My original quote was specifically on the biggest stages on International duty with regards Trent, nothing else as that's all I give a shit about when he plays for England..
"Easy on the eye when it comes off against minnow non entity nations but I can't get all excited by it when he can't cut it on the big stage on International duty in a Tournament like the Euros that just went. He'd get destroyed at right back at the next World Cup."
100% stand by it, regardless of what he does at Club level. He had his opportunity to shine and he failed miserably during play. We play much better when someone else plays instead of him as the Summer proved on 1 of the biggest International stages.
The thought of him playing anywhere in the Team come the World Cup fills me with dread as he'd once again get found out on another big International stage when trying to win a Cup.
By then I'm hoping James finally gets over his injury issues so we wouldn't have to contemplate starting him in the World Cup.

I can't remember Son doing much in that Champions League final?

lol can’t cut it on the big stage?
you mean like consistently being at the top level in the premier league & champions league?
Yes, exactly that. He was nowhere to be seen when it mattered in Spurs Champions League Cup Final just as he wasn't in the Euro Final. Like someone correctly stated earlier, he's more a flat track bully who prays more on fixtures like this.
Re: England vs Finland
Re TAA... of course he can cut it, however he isn't a midfielder and he isn't even the best right back at Liverpool. That's why he had the hump most of last season and has a face like a smacked arse when he gets subbed. He's very much a luxury player

My only observation on Carsley is that the plastic paddy looks like even more of a loser than Southgate. England are winning nothing if the FA appoint him.Everyone's a loser to you COYI.
Not really. I have never called winning managers like Guardiola, Ancelotti or Klopp losers.
