Wimbledon v Newcastle (Switched)
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c9vpme1enrvt
I know, pint of bothered BUT why should Newcastle get home advantage when they were drawn away? Yes Wimbledons ground is flooded BUT as the fixture is now set for 1st October surely the ground would be ready, and even if not, surely a London ground could have hosted this?
I know teams back in the day used to switch from home advantage if drawn against a big club for revenue (never agreed with that either) but surely this is morally wrong?

Re: Wimbledon v Newcastle (Switched)
I'd imagine things like DEI and Health and Safety were non existent in those days, Gaffer58.

10 days for plod to get organised, bloody hell back in the day you’d play a cup game on the Saturday and if it went to a replay that was usually the next Tuesday, I thought all this technology was supposed to make things easier/ quicker!!!

Re: Wimbledon v Newcastle (Switched)
If Wimbledon can’t fulfill the fixture Newcastle should go through without a game.
I suppose playing at Newcastle is the least worst alternative & Wimbledon get some money. More than they would from a game at home

Its a sinkhole so they don't know when it will be repaired
Also what other London club would help them out, plus you have to give plod 10 days notice for a game this size, sensible to let Newcastle have it at their place
