Underwhelming lineup yet again. Unless we win today I'm getting very concerned about Lopetegui's ability to make us click

Brentford are mid injury crisis with 8 out including both left backs (Rico Henry, and Tierney).

They've also got a worse set of statistics than us this season.   If there's a game for Lopetegui to get up and running, this is it.

Bad performance, and he'll deserve pelters!

Bowen  (c)             Ings                 Kudus

I think it'll be a cagey draw, 0-0 or 1-1.
Well it won't be that team, that's for sure

In recent seasons Brentford have become a bit of a bogey club to us. Even when they’re having a poor run of form we turn up and hand them three points.
I honestly can’t see our shambolic team changing that narrative.

Unbeaten away from home so I go for a 1-0 victory for us with Bowen getting the goal.

We look weak and flaky  as pish.
No leader...
ALL our centre-backs  are lacking in a pair of BOLLOCKS....the midfield is non existent.

I'll snap your hand off for a shithouse draw tbh.

Way we are defending at the moment could do worse than putting Soucek at centre back, at least he might head a few away and not turn his back on a shot at goal.

It may sound mad, but at some point I wouldn't mind putting Todibo or Kilman in a CDM role instead of Soucek there. Peps done it with John Stones and with Fernandinho in the past. The logic being if you are good on the ball rather than just a normal CB you should be able to play in midfield and offer better protection but with ball holding ability.

Both Todibo and Killman are better on the ball than Soucek and probably have more pace than Alvarez.
Soucek has never really been good as a CDM and is better further up the pitch ironically.

Just a thought...

I've given up expecting much from Paqueta now, I actually don't mind him as he shows passion and fights and has the very rare great moment, but expecting him to be our game changer, i.e winning 2-1 instead of a 1-1 for example, then forget about it, it ain't happening. He's the modern day John Moncur.

I'd bring Antonio on late if we are still chasing to run at tired legs. Might start Rodriguez over Paqueta but I think we have to hope for that creativity as he can split a defence wide open when in form.
Soucek and Paqueta in midfield, together! Fucking hell I could play against those 2. I'd rather see a youngster brought in than see those 2 get walked through.

I'm afraid old Lop will stick with Soucek and Rodrigues as DMs, Brentford will run rings round us 4-1

£150m later, and we're discussing if we should have Antonio, Ings or play Bowen out of position up front.

It's laughable.
