Any memorable comments from them ?

I just read that President Jimmy Carter is 100 today

No England footballer has ever reached 100 (out of 1,285 total)

Several. I had two aunts, who lived to see 100. I also work a lot for a charity, entertaining  in residential care homes, so I see good number, who have reached the ton.
best one though, is father of a good friend. Now 103, Bill regularly travels alone to visit his son in France and still performs at folk clubs and open mic events. Oh, he’s a Southampton fan, but he can’t help that. 😂

The only one I knew was German and had had an 'interesting' past. He was still living independently and walking to the shops a fortnight before his death at the age of 102 but had he fallen into certain hands at the end of the war he would not have seen his 25th birthday. If his story is to be believed and I have no reason to doubt it, he had been a radio operator at the Wolfsschanze, who at the end of the war made his way west and had to 'disappear' for a while. He was highly intelligent and kept himself fit and healthy into his old age. Somewhat against what you might expect, he was polite, caring and helpful, he looked after his aged wife in her illness until she passed away, and also helped hisTurkish immigrant neighbour out by being a bit of a father figure to her children when they went through adolescence. For those who are unable to think outside of generalisations and stereotypes feel free to fire away and take the piss, but I think it's an example of how people are moulded by the environment they find themselves in.

Reminds me of the classic:

"So how did you know that your wife was dead?"

"Well the sex was the same but the dishes were piling up".

Yea known a few over the yrs...they all said the same thing when the inevitable lame question that only cunts like myself can ask..."what you're secret" ..?

"be fucked if I know" was the general theme.

My dear old Nan lived to 96 yrs ...her diet left a lot to be desired by these so-called experts these days.
She used LARD  all her life...piled on the double - top (gold) on her Rice Krispies in her last yrs...and had seconds.
Fit as a fiddle physically  , it was dementia that ultimately defeated her.
She didn't deserve that .
I was ignorant about dementia and it's cruelty.
I'm not anymore.
I don't think I'll ever get over seeing how it destroyed such a grand woman , I'm not ashamed to say it broke my heart

Back in the 90s, mate of mine in Norfolk used to have a 100 year old woman living next door. Used to see her digging her garden too. She was a massive psycho. Once she had to get kicked out of a church nearby for chucking chairs around, in the service and yelling that they were all devil worshippers. Was something quite unsettling about her.

Makes me feel old when you realise his son Michael is very old too
Read that he turned 80 lately & his wife Catherine Zeta Jones arranged for Bono to sing at him

The original Cheeta from the Tarzan films would be still alive, (and painting), and well past 100 by now.

until the story that he was still alive, the oldest chimp living and had even appeared in Dr Dolittle, in between his painting, was totally debunked.

By dream shattering cunts :(

I was always surprised at how old Kirk Douglas was, still going over 100 and when he died, how he'd outlived all his peers in films by years. None of them alive anymore.

came as a shock when someone pointed out to me that Olivia De whatsherface was still alive and older than Kirk himself.

I never got to meet either in real life sadly.
