Allegri

I really enjoy his Miserere, which is one of the great ancient choral pieces ever. But does that qualify him to manage West Ham

What absolutely outstanding responses to my very silly opening post. Just goes to show that there are many on this site who are not "knuckle draggers, retards and braindead" as some would have you believe.

i think WHO's quality comes from the extremes. like someone conjuring a soliloquy worthy of keats while kicking a dog to death for looking at him funny.

We’ve currently got the Spanish Moyes, I don’t want the Italian Moyes to replace him.

Serious manager. Not a chance we could get him.

sullivan is more a fan of standard old school gregorian chanting, monophonic and unaccompanied.
Far too generous to him. If Sullivan had enough culture just to be able to spell gregorian let alone appreciate listening to it we might not be in the place we are now.

As for Allegri, The plea for mercy that is Miserere arguably has the same fatalistic pessimism in our ability to be 'good' that Bubbles alludes to. Whether he turns out to be a great manager, his tune should chime with the fans on the terraces. Some of us might need to work on hitting that high C though.
