Hammers lost

Thought I’d mention a couple of Hammer fans we lost this year.

My cousin David Lamb (RIP) He grew up in Stratford.

Lee Clifford (wham) worked on the Liffe floor in the city back in the day. You’d probably know him if you were in the chicken run.

Both will be missed, Good lads, both loved West Ham!

Which reminds me Robert Docker was another one we lost a few years back, what a character he was. 

I remember it kicked off in the Railway Tabern in Forest Gate with a mob from Wanstead, fuck me did they pick the wrong crowd to fuck with.It was like the wild Wild West, big heavy glass ashtrays, bar stools flying it went on for about 20 mins before the old bill showed up and even then the old bill shit a brick. Muttley was there, he knows  Robert Docker.

Gerrard is still around, Docker past away around 3 years ago mate. 

Yeah Shame about Docker, he was one of my favorite people. Good to hear Gerard’s still around. Cheers for all the feedback moosh! I appreciate it! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

John is still about, he's a pal of mine. 

 

 

Always got along well with John, we use to drink in the black bull in Stratford after a game, Is he still with Tracy? 
When you see him give him my regards.
Last one, Gerard Woodman, he’s a little bit older than me, we went to Amsterdam together, he was a game cսnt, he could have a fucking fight. Is he still around?

Lamby was a good mate of a lot of hammers, him and Bonzo sadly passed this year with Dartford Matt at the end of last year. 

Yes..Very sad about Bonzo..heart of gold that lad.
I know GB and a few other old school looked after him well

Berwick manor is till open ffs? That’s unreal. Bit out of the way but a good night out.

couple of other spots were Hollywoods in Romford, Mortimers was a tidy little wine bar in South Woodford and the Boar and thistle was a busy Pub too back then.
And of course the Epping Forest Country club, had some good nights there too.
This must have been about 35 years ago.

The Villa is of course now Faces and reopened a few years ago.

I probably know your sister then if she was
part of the crowd he knocked around with while he worked on the LIFFE floor before he went to Spain. There was a group of 8 of us that use to go out drinking together on the weekends, Allillees in Ilford, Berwick Manor, Dukes, Kings seven kings, TOTS south end, the Villa in Hainaut,  Charlie chans walthamstow,We were as thick as thieves, I still talk to the girls.
