Watching MOTD last night I was impressed with Newcastles three in the midfield.  Quick, strong, hard working, Howe has got them playing as a real unit.  If we had a three like that we would have a chance but we just don't have the legs in there.
Yep. Joelinton showing our midfielders EXACTLY what a top level CM should be doing.

Disagree with Kudus. Of course he can pass, out the manager doesn't force the playing as a team.
Under a different manager, he would behave differently.

Agree with Howe and Newcastle. Really strong unit, and of course a superp striker

It's why I came to the conclusion recently he's probably better off as a selfish Striker. Just give him the ball up field and let him crack on and do his thing off the shoulder of Defenders driving them mad, instead of his own Team mates. Only trouble is, he'd have to learn the Offside rule fucking sharpish the lazy brain dead wanker. It's either all about him or he's rendered useless for any Team and with that in mind up front could be a position he excels. An incredible ball hog not seen since my playing days in the Playground.

The top sides will give kudus a wide berth in my opinion,   he's just another of our players who start brightly but simply get found out by opposition managers.
And there isn't a decent centre half at the club on the strength of what I saw yesterday

It's quite obvious Sullivan has a massive chip on his shoulder about football players, especially the talented highly professional foreigners. He selects managers on this basis and of course the players return the favour on the pitch.

The man is a fucking football curse.

Didn't think I'd say this but I'm sick of Kudus. I know he's a terrible manager, but he and the rest of the team are still picking up their extortionate wages, yet delivering nothing week in week out. I know he's not a LW, but was he any better yesterday in his favourite position? He sulks almost every fucking game. Then you hear El Moyes disappeared straight down the tunnel after another humiliation, and only three players went over to the fans (Soucek, Coufal, Somerville). This toxic atmosphere only comes from one source, and he's about 4ft tall

And did Summerville really foul Akanji guy when he was on on one? Could have let him score and then used VAR for that surely?

i think we lack some confidence. When under pressure a lot of things that are simple suddenly get harder.
.
Given all that and more, I’m going to ignore the score and concentrate on the fact we are making tons of chances. We need to be more composed and we will beat a lot of teams.

I don’t think City have turned a corner at all. The fact that we got at them means many teams will.

Our players are chumps. Alvarez ducking out of the header which led to their first goal. A lack of press from the front players, Coufal getting roasted, Areola's suicidal positioning and Kilman a mile away from Haaland for their second goal. Our midfielders actually running away from Savio to allow him to run 30 yards to set up Haaland for the third. And Kudus with a pathetic and sloppy pass in our half for their fourth, when we had the overload on the other side of the pitch.

Yes, we created some chances. Kudus should've put us one up. And some West Ham fans may argue we should've been two up. But a ton of chances? Really? I never saw those. And, even if I did agree, its not a lack of chances that will kill us. This team has players that will create chances. It's the bollocks that we had to watch that led to their goals that will kill us. Pathetic and naive.

Yeah I agree. The thing is if you take your chances you change the dynamics of the game. They no longer can play their normal game as they will be worried about conceding and so on… I think the one difference with Moyes is that we tended to take the very few chances we made. We also relied on set pieces and corners to get a lot of our goals which is something we don’t seem to care about at the moment.

The thing that separates top players from just good ones is that conversion rate and predictability. Top players are just more consistent, not necessarily more skilfull. Kudus needs to prove he is consistent to be a really top player. Same with Paq. Bowen probably has less skill than both of them but is far more consistent.

Kilman is getting a lot of stick.

Kudus is a fucking disgrace. He obviously can't stand Lope and has jacked it in. Paqueta the same. I know Todibo doesn't like Lope. Kilman is just playing badly in a bad team.

Kudus will never make it at the very highest level if he doesn’t improve his basic decision making. Bloke is a greedy prick, never gets his head up and looks for the logical pass. Particularly when through down the wing. He might be a good dribbler but if he is worth £85-100m then you can definitely add £50m on for Bowen.
