Re: Eddie Jordan R.I.P
I met him once. Very nice man. Was playing Wentworth golf course where he had a house. We were on tee and waiting for our time. He walked past with his dog and a paper under his arm. My mate said 'Hello Eddie" and he came over and had a chat. Only small talk about the course and some holes to watch out for. I said "I assume you live near here" and he said "yeah, house overlooking the ninth green" (or something like that). He wished us a good round and went on his way. As he went he said "Behave yourself after the game, we don't have noise around here after 9pm" with a wry smile. My mate shouted "We will come to yours for a party" and he just shook his head and smiled.

I doubt many normal folk will give two hoots about this, but as you say at least he brought some character to the sport back then when it was pretty popular.
Eddie Irvine drove for Jordan, a proper swordsman that cսnt.
