That's the thing, the song contest was designed to put political differences aside and to enforce that, there's supposed to be a blanked ban against introducing any political element to your songs or even the broadcasting. Spain are in hot water for advertising pro-peace support messages for Palestine on their own channel on Eurovision.

You might argue that Israel are more aggressive than Russia in their military acts insomuch as Russia is reclaiming its own land with the support of some residents of those lands. Alternatively you might argue that Russia is the worse aggressor because theirs, unlike Israel, is not retaliation. Ban them both or honour the intention of the founders of the contest and don't ban anyone.

This reminds me a lot of all the Asians I have met that openly refer to the demographic trends in the country and say things like "When we are in the majority" or the new Asian MPs that constantly make speeches in parliament on Palestine or things that are only of interest to Pakistan etc. "Anti-racists" present their views as being concerned with equality when usually they are just anti white sentiments. It was obviously from the heart so I'm not saying he's wrong, that's his opinion and he's entitled to that, but it was the wrong thread on the wrong site to write such an outburst. I've been arguing with Roots and Clint about whether or not the song contest represents a veiled political overthrowing attempt or something like that and Swiss has gone full on social commentary extremist.
