Definitely weaker squad, you can agrue the team is similar, but we do not have much depth. It should be good for the youngsters coming through, which is something we like.
Very poor transfer window in my opinion. Looking at what clubs with our kind of resources did, it does not look good at all. Probably good Potter now has the international break to work on things as next few games will say a lot about how this season will be.

It's important not to include Aguerd as an 'out' because he is also an 'in'. If you do include him, you could be rightly accused of rigging the data to suit your case - and nobody wants that.
Is a good point actually. An In as well as an Out. He's a net zero, agree with that.

Well he was in the squad and he was on the bench numerous times (Casey)...may not dramatically weaken us, but still an out.

Aguerd has played football for us this season...he was definitely an 'in' based on last season, so he's then an out again. Again not a big factor versus last season, but still worthy of inclusion.

Well now the window is shut, IMO it's hard to claim we're anything but weaker as a squad, although maybe could argue our first team is a little stronger with the two new midfielders, and Diouf in...and with Summerville making the kind of impact he did at the weekend.

But my god we look thin as squads go.

Best match day team and bench for me with everyone fitness things stand:
Hermansen

AWB        Mavropanos      Kilman             Diouf

Magassa

Paqueta.        Fernandes

Bowen.                   Wilson.               Summerville

Subs: Areola, KWP, Scarles, Todibo, Potts, Irving, Soucek, Guilherme, Fullkrug,
First team looks decent. Bench looks there to cover injuries as opposed to turn the course of a game. And there's next to nothing behind the bench. Desperately need injuries to stay away this season.

Nice overview Stubbo.

My initial reaction is that the only positive here is the wide midfield position, IF Summerville was deemed fit.

It's embarrassing that we have a squad like this, and probably the worst midfield in the league!

Definitely weaker at the moment. Need replacements for the old guys that left to strengthen. Also, on paper Bowen, Kudus, Summerville and Paqueta should be a fearsome attack, but with form and injury it is pretty crap.

Depends how you look at it, you need more than 15 players to be stronger so anyone would make you stronger but if you have 20 players and you get rid of Paul Gascoigne (the current one) your average is stronger. That's what the kids call 'star rating'
