AC signs for the Daggers
Just putting it out there, but if you’re sick of West Ham (and I am) it could be the moment to get in on the ground floor with Dagenham & Redbridge who’ve just signed Andy Carroll. Feeling rather more pumped about this than our transfer window to be honest.

Gary and comma
With those local derbies, reminded me of a mate who’d seen Weston-super-Mare vs Truro and the Truro fans singing “You dirty northern bastards”, which I thought was pretty funny.

Re: AC signs for the Daggers
Good luck to him.
I have a soft spot for him because he won me a nice earner with his winning header against CFC .
hes a character too...which I like also and sadly lacking in modern football .
He would have wound up BILLY for sure

Yes. 5 leagues apart and the most fierce rivalry in the country.

Dagenham v Woking FA trophy vase final 91 ish. They had Clive Walker playing for them. A big culture shock for the Woking fans

Is he still trying to renovate the money pit that he bought off Rod Stewart?

Have considered going to watch them so checked it out whilst walking the dog but bit put off by the set up there.
Far be it from me to tell (TELL) people what to do or how to spend their leisure time, but I would have thought a quick word in advance with the club/clubhouse manager to stock up the beers (e.g. from Makro) for a particular game might have legs - even allowing people to bring their own & charging corkage would generate much needed money for a small club.
Trouble is, if they get let down, they're then stuck with a load of un-movable specialist stock and a fucked-up cash flow.

Im sure there are many levels of Qatari investors. I dont think the Daggers are going to be the next PSG. I hope its all legit and not a grab for the land to be redeveloped . .

Re: AC signs for the Daggers
Great on his day but not enough days
Injuries & a lack of professionalism
95 starts in 7 seasons for 34 goals
You can’t have your well paid main striker playing a third of games & scoring 5 goals a season
I think a lot of people are getting disillusioned with corporate football & a day at a non league local team feels like a better day out
Am guessing Dagenham don’t have popcorn or foam hands?

Buzzing for this.
the mighty Tonbridge Angels travel to D&R on 19th aug.
will be in the away end.
Naz Bakrin will have the Geordie bumper in his pocket.

"It doesn't matter the level, or anything, as long as I get on the pitch and play football, that's all that matters." "Coming here and showing people I am just playing for the love of football rather than the money and the level is something I wanted to do."
Also putting some of his money into the club as an investor in the Qatari based group that has agreed to take over at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Good luck to him!

Re: AC signs for the Daggers
My local team Wealdstone stayed up at the expense of the daggers in a last day finale
I follow them as I've always done when not at West ham
Good fun and less bullshit

Truro v Yeovil
Gateshead v Carlisle
Maidstone v Dover
Torquay v Weston super mare
Dagenham v Hornchurch
etc
