Alejandro Garnacho wants to leave Manchester United but is not too eager on moving to the Saudi Premier League, even if it means teaming up with Cristiano Ronaldo. Al-Nassr approached the Argentina winger to suggest a change of scene and a massive wage but Garnacho wants to play in Europe. The same reportedly goes for his United colleague Marcus Rashford, with the England forward waiting for Barcelona to make a bid.
One United winger finally getting to leave permanently is Jadon Sancho, who has joined Juventus for £17.3m, only £60m or so less than they paid for him four years ago.
André Onana will miss the club’s tour of the USA and the start of the season with a hamstring injury sustained in training. With the other options being Altay Bayindir, who wants to leave, and Tom Heaton, United may be forced to sign a new goalkeeper within their tight budget.
Aston Villa are preparing to sign a new second choice goalkeeper. With Emiliano Martínez’s future still up in the air Marco Bizot could arrive from Brest as backup and become No 1 by next month. The 34-year-old Dutchman arrived in England on Sunday and will reportedly move to Villa Park on a free transfer.
After luring Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid from Liverpool, the Spanish side are trying to do the same with Ibrahima Konaté. The French centre-back has a year left on his deal at Anfield and that may bring a cheeky low offer. Konaté is said to be open to the move.

Evan Ferguson’s next loan move away from Brighton will take him to Roma, where he has shaken hands on a season-long seal. The Irishman did not pull up any trees at West Ham, so will be hoping a new country will do him the world of good. Roma are also interested in signing Lens’ Neil El Aynaoui, who is also a target for Everton.
Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of PSV’s Johan Bakayoko could come a cropper because the winger wants to join a Champions League team. On the upside, the Tricky Trees may be promoted to the Europa League this week.

Slavia Prague’s El Hadji Malick Diouf is edging closer to completing a move to West Ham United.
At the weekend, various claims from the UK and Czech Republic stated West Ham have reached an agreement with Slavia Prague. This also confirmed by the latter’s sporting director, Jiří Bílek, who also said the fee is around €22m.
Bílek added the 20-year-old would travel to London to undergo medical tests with West Ham after his current club accepted the Hammers’ bid.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna today took to X, formerly known as a Twitter, to post a photo of El Hadji Malick Diouf with his agent inside a private jet.
According to the journalist, the left-back is flying to England to complete a move to the Premier League club.
He further adds the Senegal international is scheduled to undergo medical tests with West Ham on Monday and then sign his contract. This is all that is pending for the London club to make his transfer official.
Aouna adds the overall cost of the operation is around €25m, which is €3m more than what was stated by Bílek.

West Ham contact to sign club’s ‘greatest asset’ – Price affordable for Hammers

West Ham United are one of the clubs in the picture to sign Girona’s Arnau Martínez this summer. The right-back is a product of the La Liga club’s academy and had 1mpressed for them last season.
AS report the 22-year-old one of Girona’s ‘greatest assets’ and has attracted interest from the Premier League, including West Ham.
It’s claimed the Hammers have knocked on the defender’s door to ask about a potential move in this window.
The Spaniard’s contract expires in 2027, with a €14m release clause, and the report states this figure is affordable for the London club.
Graham Potter currently has Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the only recognised right-back in his squad, after the club released Vladimír Coufal. Martínez could be a good option to provide cover and competition to Wan-Bissaka.
West Ham have contacted Martínez, although it’s unclear whether they are willing to activate his clause or make an offer close to €14m.
Martínez has played 162 games for the Catalan club, of which 39 were from last season. AS state his exit would be painful for Girona sporting wise, but beneficial financially as he’s their academy graduate.

Sunderland AFC leading Monaco and West Ham in transfer race for £35k-a-week Leicester City star
Sunderland have made an approach to Leicester City about the availability of Bilal El Khannouss this summer.
According to L’Equipe, the Black Cats are interested in a deal for the Moroccan playmaker as they prepare for life in the Premier League.
El Khannouss signed for the Foxes last summer in a reported £21 million deal from Genk, signing a four-year contract. As per Capology, a site which provides estimates on player salaries, El Khannouss is earning a weekly wage of £35,000 at the King Power Stadium.
The talented 21-year-old was a key part of their top flight campaign last year and contributed two goals and three assists in the league as Leicester suffered relegation straight back to the Championship with an 18th-place finish.
It has been reported that Sunderland are currently leading the chase to sign El Khannouss from Leicester this summer.
However, they face competition from the likes of AS Monaco and West Ham, with a move on the cards in this transfer window.
While the forward is under contract with the Championship side until 2028, it’s believed that he has no interest in playing in the second division.
It’s been claimed that enquiries have been made, with it previously being reported earlier in the summer that a reasonable release clause was inserted into his deal.
It remains unclear what the price of that release clause has been set to, but Leicester paid £21 million to sign him just 12 months ago, which could be indicative of any fee in this market.
He is also still only 21, so has the potential to really develop into a top quality player.
Given the existence of a release clause, there may not be much Leicester can do to hold onto El Khannouss this summer.
