Re: Community Shield
My understanding is that some fans that were still on the concourse (maybe not knowing there was a minutes silence) were making noise. Some Palace fans shouted at them to shut up & this turned to boos when they didn’t
This was after Liverpool fans had booed and sung their own songs through the national anthem
They then bleated about ‘respect’
The same fans that booed and sang Lizzies in a box when QE2 died

Re: Community Shield
Liverpool have played 3 or 4 games & had a minutes silence etc at every one for Jota
Terribly tragic that he and his brother died but Liverpool are REVELLING in being the victims here
Am sure we will get more on Friday night v Bournemouth
Is it going to carry on endlessly like Hillsborough where they killed their own fans?
But not Heysel where they killed Juve fans

Re: Community Shield
So when the red cunts of Liverpool lost this, they rapidly directed their frustrations over a few palace fans who booked during the one minute silence for Jota.
Got a bit of a deja vu over this....
I bet they are going to milk this incident through the whole season...

Excellent news that Palace lost the appeal. Even more reason to hope Fiorentina finally win the thing.

Re: Community Shield
Thought it was a good watch.
Palace deserved their win in the end. I just like the way they set out to play and with players like Eze they have some magic in the midfield. Even Will Hughes when he came on looked really good. They pressed Liverpool, they were able to beat Liverpool's press and play balls in behind both out wide and through the middle. Mateta ran his legs off but cool penalties.
When I look at their squad , it's pretty decent and they have hung onto players so far.
Glasner done a great job after a tricky start. I'm sure somebody will be in for him.

We had big opportunities to see players & managers close up when we were in Europe
Believe Kerkez of Bournemouth now of Liverpool was one of many good players we saw but ignored
Yep, like Kerkez at AZ I thought we also missed out when we played Frankfurt and could see the likes of Kamada as well as the manager up close who impressed me then and look where he's ended up now.. We are always asleep at the wheel and pass up such good opportunities when they arise.

Re: Community Shield
Completely right about Glasner
Palace will do well to hang on to him
Has done a brilliant job. Were probably the better team over 90mins v Liverpool

Didnt see the Lille game but many mentioned one of their midfielders as ideal for us

Glasner was out of work twiddling his thumbs for ages until Palace eventually snapped him up whilst we still limped along predictably with Moyes till the end.
I was so impressed with what Glasner done at Frankfurt thinking yeah, I wouldn't mind a winner like that managing our Club who actually coaches players in to being better and conducts himself impeccably. Special manager destined for even greater things.
Sullivan would never (NEVER) employ such a coach/manager; to do so would quickly show the whole (footballing) world what a complete imbecile he is/has been in the business.

Re: Community Shield
It just shows how unambitious. The potless dwarf is . That crystal palace with an average attendance of close on 40 000 less than ours . Can keep hold our there better players . While the dwarf was telling the world . rice was off the morning after the conference league win . Utterly shameful.

Great support from Palace again
Exploding the Scouse myth of support
If we sign Elliot don’t let him anywhere near a penalty

Re: Community Shield
Berlington that's not their point they seem to think they have a devine right to the own kingdom. why they ahve benefitted more from being part of the UK than any other town.
Anyway, Palace play so much better than us with 3 at the back. their front 3 are electric. I'll swap Eze for Paqueta any day.
