Strategically and diplomatically lying. The CIA/Pentagon would have run that passed him as part of their calculations it would likely happen. We saw it on a much lower scale straight after Midnight Hammer happened by fucking up Irans Nuclear weapons ambition.  his words: "Saudi Arabia, all of ...

Re: US Politics Thread

The same Gulf states who begged Trump not to start this war and have been begging him to de-escalate? His little foray into the ME has completely ruined their enery business and tourism economy. It was a safe place for westerners to go work/live but not anymore. The other day Trump said 'nobody coul...

Re: US Politics Thread

Precisely my logic.. ⏳️  But only the US are fighting this war and are as exposed as everyone else. The pressure will be "you can stop this" not "lets all join a war to secure the Strait". Trump is already under pressure back home and that will only increase. two thirds of ameri...

Re: US Politics Thread

Every week that passes this becomes a bigger problem. Give it another couple of weeks and we start having serious convo's about rationing at the petrol station. Everyone's food etc etc is going up in price and everyone's mortgage will go the same way.     thinking back to the 1970's and the 3-day w...

Would definitely take a draw, but we are capable of winning there if it all clicks.
I was thinking the same, but last night will have helped them find a bit of form.

If we win sunday then we stay up, it will really push us forward mentally.

Re: US Politics Thread

Of course they don't have to. What is America's concern, is there concern with how they want to play it. Just as Japan had that right in WWII. So then why should any of their allies support them if they do whatever they want to do? Because they also have their own vested interests to take care of.....

yesterdays escalation is bad news for everyobody. None of the Gulf states wanted this war, and they will pay the price further down the line. Lets say this ends in a week, does anyone honestly think that US/western presence will be safe in the region over the next few weeks? There will be a lot of p...
