Have you seen our track record against this lot, they are one place and 2 points off the top 6 and have a bang in form striker in Thiago. Add the fact the idiot Nuno will send out a B class team. Can't really see an easy 6th round appearance can you
No excuses for bombing out, yet you go on to mention loads of reasons as to why might bomb out against them.

Maybe our name is on the cup this season? We can but dream.I felt in 2006 we were destined for the final after losing Greenwood and Lyall. This season after losing Billy and Lady Brooking (bit of a stretch) it feels like it could be our year.
Would be lovely that, but the big problem is at some point we would have to beat a Liverpool/City/Arsenal etc, just can't see it, but Palace did it so not impossible.

I believe that we get the pleasure of VAR at this stage in the competition.
What about that age-old FA Cup tradition of replays?
Have the media worked out a way to maximise their (fuck the game's) profit from, and, therefore, justify them yet?

They're not that great actually. They are just very effective. Also capable of some shocking performances like Forest at home.
Although, of course they are a better side than us, as we are currently 18th.

I believe our best XI is better than theirs so as long as Nuno goes for it I can see a 2-0 victory. No that will be just you and maybe some other West Ham fans when the truth is they've been better than us for a couple of seasons at least and still are.
Yup. One of those teams who just seem to have our number most of the time. We do not match up well against them.

Re: The Emirates FA Cup 5th round draw
Didn't say they'll chuck the game. But they'll defo have an eye on the league as they've never been so high in their entire history.
The cup won't be their main focus even if they're at full strength.

And they've never done anything in the cups since getting to the PL.
Yea OK Ferret, so they are going to chuck a possible QF spot because they might get 7th. That's a relief. I'll start a 6th round draw thread.

Hopefully Brentford will think finishing top 7 is a more realistic chance to qualify for Europe
Blimey, you are really over-thinking that. They will surely be at full-strength. Shame Frank isn't still there as he use to chuck cup games.

Re: The Emirates FA Cup 5th round draw
It’s a middling tie
At home but against a better team but not one of the big teams
Its a weekend tie and the round of 16 so should be a full strength team
Winning games will boost our chances of survival

Can't complain about that. What a circus the draw was though, bring back Bert Millichip and Ted Croker and move it back to Monday 1pm on the wireless.

Happy with that, a very winnable draw and a great chance to get through to the Quarters.
