That fucking dodgy as fuck penalty they got against us in the 2-2 draw, though....

Didn't they get awarded an extraordinary amount of them that season?

What could have been......

Luck can be a right cսnt at times that can make all the difference sometimes. Leciesters injury free season meant it was their destiny. Still funny to think at least they stopped both Arsenal and Spurs winning it in any case. 😆

Arry was perfect for 'Parlo' and Slav was perfect for Payet. Encourage the talent rather than trying to neuter it.

Di Canio also got into a fight with Capello I think.
For all Harry's faults , he did get what makes us tick player wise  .
We were spoiled really compared to now for pure entertainment.
Berkovic for example...he deffo had an eye for a stylish type .

Your first line was the beauty of it (payet)

Out of curiosity I had a look at what Di Canios numbers were during his 1st full season with us compared to Payets and they were identical when added together with 27 goals produced each. Serious numbers for a Club like ours. Was a privilege to see both play.

definitely the most skilful and most talented player we have ever had.
Not more than Di Canio for me, close but he is the most skillful we have ever had. Savio 3rd.

Nah, obviously PDC's WH career was way better than Payet's, but if you're talking about sheer ability then Payet was the better player. Payet lit up a Euro's, PDC never come anywhere close to that level.

Wasn't given the opportunity to do so. A running joke he wasn't selected at International level, only given 1 poxy solitary Italy B cap ffs. 😆

Never said top, I reserve that for Bonds and Brooking, but definitely the most skilful and most talented player we have ever had.

Up there with Devonshire for me, that season we had him was one of the most joyous ones of my 51 years of following this club and any cսnt who downplays it clearly never watched him play.

38 apps with 8 goals in the French national team but yeah he was fucking useless.
38 international appearances for a supposed world class player 🤔

Had a good season for us, was otherwise a decent player in the French league.
