We have gained more points than them in the last ten games so why all the negativity... Yes we're where we are because we started the season shit and we're playing catch up but over the last 10 games we're 7th with our light squad. So we're punching above our weight I would say, if we can continue to do so we will stay up.. We only have to get one more point than a Forest team who haven't won for 7 games. They're in just as much danger as us. Spurs lost 5 league games in a row and before that they'd turned a corner with a draw away at City who are a lot better than Liverpool.. So still possible they could do the same again.. Not over by a long wayWe will know a lot more about where Spurs are now on Sunday, gut tells me they will start picking up. As said x 100, I've always thought Forest were more likely anyway. Apparently the Greek has told the Portugeezer not to worry about Europe at this point, apparently. I feel this will likely go to the last day at this point.
You are like a dog with a bone obsessing over Forest all the while, yeah we get it, you think they'll go down..
And you keep obsessing over Sp*rs going, when everyone knows they'll pull clear.

Most definitely. I can see it being nervous over there. Leeds fans almost expect disappointment.

Well said, to many are thinking that Nuno has changed 180 degrees. he hasn't we set up for a point.
We're playing better but needed to. Wolves were down months ago but as a proactive manager Edwards has seen the bigger picture. He's rejuvenated a team looking at next season. Wolves could have easily been worse than the Derby team, that would ahve set them back years.
The 4 teams in the fight need to win games not a point,Leeds are still in the relegation zone as they have only won 2 in 19 ,many thought they were well clear.
We're running out of games and the Spurs v Forest game will be defining for the bottom teams. A draw is almost certain as it's drastic for who ever loses. Does one of them go for it against the grain and surprise everyone.
If we go for the 1 shot on target theory and hoping that gets us a point or win it won't happen.
I'm sure we would have liked to have more than 1 shot. Our record against them is terrible and Saturdays game was a huge result.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
3 wins and 2 draws, or 4 wins out of the last 8 games.
It's tough but it just comes down to beating the teams we are meant to have a chance at beating. Wolves, Leeds, Palace or Everton, and then getting a couple of draws from Arsenal or Villa etc.
On paper and given our form its doable.
But we just dont do what is expected of us sometimes, the last wolves game we lost completely shocked me. If anything that was the worst result of the season and had we done that one, we'd be out of the relegation zone. Not sure if that was when Paco came in after that? But fingers crossed. I'm not certain, but I think we have a good chance. Strangely, more of a chance than when we did it with Tevez. Where I think we won 7 in a row or something. Now that was crazy.

There arent enough games for me and we dont have enough about us to play every game as a cup final and get wins which is what we need now.
I love a bit of optimism and why not, the team is giving it a go buts let's not get carried away, we are where we are because we stank the league out for most the season. Even Wolves are having a revival performance wise. We need a lot of luck to survive even though it is tight on points.
You managed to talk about Wolves predicament in a positive light but have us in the championship already. Impressive.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
In the last ten league games we're 7th on form and Villa are 18th just above Forest and Spurs. Villa still also have a lot of injuries and play Thursday. So while it's never going to be easy to win there now is a good time to play them. We also have a decent record there, plenty to give us hope of at least a point.

Villa are chasing top 4 - cant think they will be wanting to settle for anything less than a win against us so my hopes remain grounded, although all 3 clubs playing next Sunday also have midweek fixtures so that has to count in our favor.
We just need to string a couple of results together and we're away, however we just seem shackled to that 18th spot regardless of our uptick in form.
Yep agree, a Forest win would be bad news (particularly if we lose at Villa) nobody will convince me otherwise. As you say we can't get out the bottom 3, but if we win at Villa it will change everything, that's a big if though.

Really dificult to call games at this point in the season. I'm starting to think away to Brentford and Palace are equal in degree of difficulty as home to Wolves.
No easy game, Wolves maybe going down but in the past month or 2 have grown a pair and got some decent results, they have also beaten us twice already this season so anyone thinking that home game is 3 points in the bag is kidding themselves.
The Spurs/Forest game is massive, and as much as I would love to see Spurs go down, realistically it will be Forest so if Spurs do win that one then I hope they smash them, for no other reason than goal difference, ours is shocking but Forest ain’t so good either, a thrashing would also see more shenanigans at Forest and even another sacking

Yep, still in a world of trouble, although perceived favoritism on Forest is a little baffling considering their poor form and difficult run-in.

Brentford, Villa next. Let's hope they all break something, or get sent off after a massive punch up.
I just can't see spurs going down. It would be the biggest FOMB in the history of the premier league. There would be a rampage in every city, wild celebrations. Surely it won't happen.

Forest are averaging less than a goal a game, they are the prime candidate for that 3rd spot.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Anyone trying to project late season form remember our last relegation season
Came from 0-3 at h/t to 3-3 at WBA
Beat Burnley 5-1 in the FA Cup
Beat Liverpool 3-1
Beat Stoke 3-0
Then … lost at Stoke in the FA Cup
Last 9 games we drew 2 & lost 7 to finish last including losing 3-2 at Wigan after being 2-0 up to be relegated
Our ‘captain ‘ Upson refused to play in our last game at home to Sunderland
We quickly went 3-0 down so it wasn’t thought possible to give sub Dylan Tombides some Premier League minutes so he died without achieving that
Lots of work to do and done nothing yet
