Re: What was the first Hammers game you attended?
Home defeat to Everton in October 1984 so 84/85 season. I was 6 and went with my Dad and Grand-dad (RIP). Lost 1-0 and their little striker Adrian Heath scored.

Re: Graham Thorpe is dead
"A woman at work was on her lunch break and very, very narrowly missed being squashed by someone who jumped off the multi storey car park just up the road, he landed on the footway so she was lucky. Story I heard was that she held the blokes hand as he didn’t die immediately. About 10 years later ...

Re: Best Gangster movie
"State of Grace NY Irish mob film about the Westies starring Sean Penn, Ed Harris and a scene stealing performance from Gary Oldman. Maybe Oldman’s best performance. Late 80s / early 90s film - would be in my top 5 gangster movies. Others would be Bronx Tale, Goodfellas, Carlitos Way and Casino."

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Sadly I can see Sullivan going for Rafa Benitez now Celta Vigo have sacked him. Highly experienced, no compensation fee and his stock is so low so he might even accept a two year deal. Might have a point to prove after his Everton disaster. I can’t see Sullivan risking an up and coming British bo...

Re: How much do you drink?
"Normally 3 or 4 beers or whiskies per week. So 6-8 units per week. It’s the caffeine I struggle with now more than missing the booze. Need a couple of coffees first thing to properly wake me up before work and then a Coke Zero with my tea. Coffees throughout the day, especially if I’m on the la...

Re: The Wettest you have Ever Been At A West Ham Game
"Watford away in the Championship in November 2003. Terrible 0-0 game and the heavens opened just before kick off with flash flooding all around Vicarage Road as I was walking to the ground. Had a jacket but it didn’t have a hood and I got absolutely soaked through. Can remember going to a home ga...

Re: XL Bully's to be banned.
"Saw a video on Facebook of some poor sod wrestling in a council housing front garden with Bully XL. Bloke had his trousers torn off and half his shirt, blood everywhere and the dog had started ripping his torso apart. You could see a couple of people whacking the dog with a broomstick but no good, ...

You have to read between the lines on these things. He had a record and was meant to be gang affiliated. Driving around in a car the reports say wasn’t his (“borrowed” or stolen?] and was linked to a firearms offence the day before. Not sure if pulled over or was chased by the old Bill but sou...

Re: Mike Yarwood leaves a great impression
Being born in 78 I can remember his name from the 80s but back then there were only 4 TV channels so anyone even half decent on the box became a household name. Russ Abbot for example.

"Huey Lewis and The News. Under-rated band, I was only a little kid of 7 when they had the massive track ""Power of Love""ù from Back to The Future so not sure how popular they were in the UK at their peak. Clearly never a ""cool""ù bad but the lead singer has got a great voice."

Re: What if anything are you listening to now?
Spent a long weekend painting the front room and the landing so have had music on the whole time... Been listening to: Aerosmith Guns n Roses Velvet Revolver Elton John Richard Marx Then mixed in with some late 90s NY rap when I was getting bored and needed a bit of energy to go with the Red Bulls.

Re: 2016 NFL Season
I haven't watched an NFL game on TV for donkeys years but love the old Madden games on the Megadrive as a kid. Got tickets for the Jags v Colts game at Wembley last Sunday and really enjoyed it. Will probably go along next year too.
