Re: Nott'm Forest vs West Ham | PL | 31.08.25 | Prediction & Match Thread
I like a back three when it has the right players. Which we don't. But I would say the biggest difference today was that wingers (Bowen and Summerville when he came on) were in formation that they could play as wingers. But we had to keep it tight and all credit to the defence and midfield who stil...
Re: Antonio
He was one of the funner (and frusterating) players to watch in the last decade. He had lots of problems, and would not have been with us if didn't, but made some absolutely West Ham moments as well: the Spurs away goal early, the bicycle kick against Man City, his complete bullying of people in Eu...

Decent run out.
Diouf looked good as did the people we know are good already.
The positions that need options were on display.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread
Haven’t seen it elsewhere on here but was reading Wolves & ourselves are looking at Ivory Coast Nice forward Evann Guessand who turns 24 on July 1 Seems we looked in January but they were trying to qualify for Europe Nice want £25m If it's just 25 mill, I'd be all over that. Just saw him in an...
Re: Antonio
For some reason this had me thinking of Mik as some sort of mountain goat. Ha. I guess I could technically have said the muscle in his two legs was visibily different. But the other visual is better, for sure. (Somewhat coincidentially, I almost hit a mountain goat driving back from Vancouver on Su...
Re: Antonio
I watched the end of his game against Panama last night.
It was interesting/sad but not surprising that his legs were visibly different sizes.
I guess the point is that he is still a ways from top level football.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cvgv4y99n7rt shocking, this is where foamy mouthed political hatred leads to Yes, coming on the heels of their governor telling people to be "meaner" and "bully the shit out of" his opponent. A working theory is that the shooter targetted those l...

Re: Cressy goodbye
Some beauty deliveries with his left over the years and has done okay at centre back when needed.
Always up for trying things and seems a decent teammate in the videos the club does.
Thanks for the memories.

Re: MLS/USA football heading into the world cup next year
I did read that Apple are trying to sell back some of the rights to MLS. Do you, or many, subscribe to fubo TV in Canada, for the PL? I pay for Fubo and DAZN, that gives me all Premier League games, all the other top 5 leagues except La Liga, my national team (except the World Cup, for which I wil...

Re: MLS/USA football heading into the world cup next year
A few points - in no particular order - The Messi/Apple is showing cracks, in terms of growth not being as expected, revenue sharing disputes and what the future will hold. And there have been deep discounts , free games to try and make the anticipated growth happen. For instance, the last part o...

Congrats to Alvarez on their Nations League win.
I didn't watch that game but Raul Jimenez is looking really good from the highlights and the game before. Great comeback story.

Re: Bowen included in Tuchel's first England squad
Judged on that squad selection you’d have to say Tuchel is clueless and looks like the next England supremo that will fail. Lets hope it was just for continuity. I reckon the U21s could give the senior squad a good game. German managing England? Me grandad and nan will be turning in their graves, w...
