Losing Noble, Dawson, Rice and probably Cresswell we probably lack leadership in the dressing room and Maguire will bring that. Reckon Goal: Maguire Assist: Ward-Prowse will be our best combination next season.

Moncur, Are you saying West Ham made a mistake in selling Rice, that’s it’s their fault? The problem with this site is it’s just a fucking moaning ground. There is nothing of value posted here any more and I’ve been on it for years. To actually post reems of shit slagging off the board the manager the tactics the signings - before the season has started. It’s just a waste of life reading all this shit. I’m off to other sites with better informed stuff. All the best.

Surfing SOLD an England International with confidence at an all time high SOLD and Italy International who was well regarded HAVE ALLOWED A Brazilian International to become unsettled and a target for the current title holders. All of those players are under 25. Have allowed a Power struggle to take place between a progressive Technical Director who has an eye for young talent that should add value as well as play vs A manager who wanted to spend on a relegated Set piece man, a defender whose confidence has been severely knocked and a Prospect. My friend if you aren't concerned, you dont understand the situation. Even if those players do give us a decent Season, even two we have regressed.

After all this negativity, we'll be beaten to the signing by Everton and we'll all be moaning about that instead.

Yea, more youth added would be good. But it doesn’t make the signings bad - yet. I think people need perspective and remember where we were a few years ago.

You're using the fact that their England internationals as way to back these signings up? How long have you been supporting us? Have a look at our history of signing England internationals over the years. Dyer Carroll Jarvis Wilshere Ings What could possibly go wrong?

We nearly got relegated last year. Have lost our star player and are spending over half the the money on a complete flop at CB that will turn 31 this season, and a soon to be 29 year old Mark Noble clone from the championship. Nothing like the sort of transfer policy I’d like to see. In fact I’d say it’s alarmingly costly and dead end.

I kind of agree with you Lizard. These guys haven't even made a cheesy signing on video yet and here we are writing them off. I would however say though that I would like to have seen some young up and coming players signed otherwise what is the point of TS?

An English, International standard, experienced spine through the team represents good business for us and replaces the likes of Dawson, Rice, Noble in that repspect. What is essential now before the window closes is that we add some youth and flare/pace.

West Ham about to confirm signing of 3 International players, 2 of which are England Internationals and this website can’t find enough cuss to slag anyone and anything off. For fuck sake wait and see the players play together before you all jerk off at the next opportunity to criticise everything about the club. If only we’d won something last year, maybe all this bullshit would not have happened. Oh, hang on?

"but could he be looking at a back 3 with wingbacks?" He's gone about it the completely wrong way if that's his plan. We've pretty much played all preseason with 4 at the back, so it would be really stupid to suddenly change our formation and the way we play 3 days before the season kicks off. Mind you, didn't he also try that last season with dreadful results, so anything is possible?

Does he start ahead of Aguerd? Or do we start playing a back 3? Apparently mcGuire he’s not great on the right side of a defence? I take it Kherer is now a full time RB? So he’ll be off unless we make him a DM as well possibly?

There is still a decent player there for a team like us but my problem is that we already have decent enough options there so unless he is replacing someone then he will either be an expensive bench player or an existing one will. I honestly think that if supporters could get behind him that he'd get his confidence back and make less mistakes but much depends on his character and whether this is a good paycheck to retire on or he wants to actually prove his worth.

My main concern is starting the season with just Antonio and Ings as our striker options.

This site! I’m not going to pretend I’m a huge Maguire fan but to write him off before he has even put the shirt on is mental, we did the same with Dawson and look how that turned out. He is 30, he has never had pace so it’s not as though he will lose that over the next few years so I think he could be a good signing, he will want to show people that he is still good enough. He turned down other clubs to join US, that means a lot. Let’s give him a chance, we might be proved wrong.
