Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
Southbank Let’s be fair to the fella he’s coming from one of if not the biggest club in the world to a club that is MASSIVE but not compared to them cunts. He’s a northerner and has to move his family to London and he’s got to take a massive pay cut. I can’t imagine he’s super excited about any of that and i personally don’t have a problem with him taking his time to make his mind up. I think he’ll be a good signing he’s a very good player who been through sone poor form and if you can get him back to the form of 2/3 seasons ago when Man Utd we’re coming second he’ll be a massive asset.

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
He is probably waiting to see if anyone gets crocked against Wolves later.
Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
He would do a good job for us and with regular consistent performances fans will won over. We should not chide him for looking after his own interests, it’s a natural thing to do, but if his heart is not truly with us he’s best staying with Manu and serving out his contract. It’s simple really stay at Manu and guarantee the loss of his England place or go somewhere that gives him regular first team football, subject to keeping form of course, and keep being a Southgate choice.

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
Personally, I think Maguire could be a very good player for us in Moyes' weird and wonderful system. He is the epitome of Moyesball, love it or loathe it. But with any player, surely fans (and coaches etc) want him to want to join the club? If there's any sense that Maguire sees us as a reluctant step down if he's forced out - rather than be enthused by a new challenge and a chance to prove some people wrong - then what's the point in bringing him here? If his mindset is that he'll come here a little reluctantly, then he can fuck right off. Sure, he is being forced out of a huge club - no question. But he should use that to fire himself up and want to join us. I may be wrong, but he doesn't seem to be making those noises - he seems to be desperately hanging on at Man Utd, hoping Ten Hags will change his mind about him. In which case, stop fucking us around.

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
MMG Yeah, the Greek thing summed him up: "Do you know who I am..?" WHAT an entitled twat. Arsehole - he'd be walking straight from one situation where the manager doesn't want him, straight into another situation where the manager is the only one that does want him...

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
Maguire was handed a suspended sentence re the incident In Greece but appealed it immediately which supposedly nullified the conviction. The appeal is due to be heard in February next year but he doesn't need to be there in person as he wasn't for the initial trial Reading between the lines it seems he was royally stitched up as they convicted him without the defence being able to call on any witness statements and other evidence. He is expected to be cleared of any wrongdoing once those witness accounts can be heard. It seems he and his party / family acted in self defence after his sister was injected on the bar. Off duty old bill and Albanians involved the old bill apparently tried to break his legs so he couldn't play again.

MMG I think it's his appeal that is outstanding. So whatever the outcome its not going to materially affect his availability as the original outcome was only a suspended sentence.

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
Doesn't he still have a court case awaiting, following the resisting arrest/bribery allegation in Greece?

Bank 'Serious question - do we want a player who clearly seems uncertain about coming here? He's running the risk of pissing off our fans before he even arrives.' No I don't and yes he has Add - for starters Over priced Over paid Over age Slow Far better options Man Utd need his sale for FFP and they have fucked us about before - karma And worse Expensive squad number when we finally shift Moyes Moyes answer to the striker, JWP hoof to Slabhead But, best to last It would send the dour Scotcher into a melt down if his current first love was rebuffed That's for starters

Fuck Maguire. It's a simple yes or no. Spend the money on Harwood-Bellis, he could learn a lot for our 3 CBs.

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
Reading Ten Hag's comments, I'm not certain that Man Utd are the stumbling block. It sounds like it is Maguire - who is still dithering over whether to move on from Old Trafford. Man Utd are not holding back in order to identify alternatives. That's why they picked up Jonny Evans on a short-term contract - they've been expecting Maguire to go and they have numbers (even if they then go out and make another big signing). Ten Hag is being polite, at least publicly, but it is obvious he is happy for Maguire to go. Maguire, on the other hand, has made himself available for tonight. Serious question - do we want a player who clearly seems uncertain about coming here? He's running the risk of pissing off our fans before he even arrives. I'd be tempted to make Ward-Prowse captain - clearly he wanted to join and has committed himself to the club.
Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
Is this some sort of 'insider information' as don't see it anywhere else? Hope so as would like to see us go for Steidten picks from this point on.

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
Did I read over the weekend that if this fell over there was a suggestion of a 22yo Bayer Leverkusen Ivory Coast international with good reviews and the right profile? Obviously Steidten's suggestion which Moyes will ignore for the overpriced overpaid career-over Harry
Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
he's a decent centre half and would fit Moyesball perfectly. my issue is with the fee + wages for a 30 year old, and the fact he could well be on the scrapheap when Moyes goes.

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
I fully expect Maguire's performances to be every bit as slow and tortuous as his transfer. Red flags all over this one - he doesn't want to be here and we don't want him.
Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
My fingers are crossed that this all falls on it's arse On various levels this is a hideous signing, if it fails there will be a collection of cunts pining I take small victories these days

Re: Harry Maguire - West Ham United Captain
To be fair other transfers get messy too but obviously we don't look at them, but this does all seem a bit too familiar. I would like to say fuck Maguire off, even though I think he'll be a good addition, but we know that Moyes is like a dog with a bone with these type of deals and will pursue him till the bitter end. Moyes seemed very relaxed and ambivalent about the B'mouth game/result, almost like treating it as a friendly, possibly a message saying this isn't my team yet, not sure if to take that as a positive or not though.

100% Agree. Instead of taking their cast offs on full money whilst they look for improvements to that position, we should be looking to steal in on their targets.

Agree. We should and could be looking at younger and cheaper players here with the future in mind, and this is getting silly now.

They buggered about when we were after Lingard and they're doing it again. Tell them to fuck off and let TS find us a young hungry CB with a bit of pace
