It's the Moyes effect again isn't it? Pursuing a player who doesn't want to know, like some psychotic ex laying there, legs agape. It's not attractive and only emboldens the other party who know that if plan A, B or C fails Moyes will be waiting, happy to swallow all of the previous knock backs. Lingard's a case in point. After last year anyone with any self respect would be telling him to jog on. Expect there is a bit of Harry wanting to screw them for as much as he can, in some ways don’t blame him, been a scapegoat at times for the failings the past few seasons and expect he feels like he hasn’t been treated very well and even humiliated by ETH and the board, mind you given his wages he should be able to put up with some shit!
