It does not surprise me that we have wasted most of our transfer window signing a player that didn't want to come and play for us. Every window there is at least one player that we are after that is not convinced but we still persist. If I was West Ham, as soon as I got a sniff that Maguire was not interested I'd be moving on. There was talk very early on that he did not want to play for West Ham and would only consider a bigger club so once again we've wasted allot of time in a window where we've already had a fucking nightmare.

I think it's obvious that we had a verbal agreement to pay £30m with Man Utd. The media reported that Maguire was reluctant to step down to WHU.
