"What dy’a do though when your 2 best players play the same position, it’s a fucker really. I thought we was average at best today, don’t see much different tbh, chaotic on the ball still with little control. 1st half could have been 2/3 down really, Paqueta is more guilty of anyone for losing the ball, wish he would sometimes keep it simple. Probably gotta a win when a draw was a fair result, Kilman though was absolutely brilliant. Best player on the park by a mile"

Soucek looks more dangerous playing in that advanced role the plus point for me was how strong the bench looked.
Agreed - compare that bench to what we had at some points last season. Felt much better today not having to scrape the barrel with replacements or to have Moyes play the whole game with the starting 11.

Mavrapanos and Kilman looked great today. Especially Kilman with his ability on the ball. Really don’t like Kudus on the left. He’s wasted out there and you can tell it’s not his position. Let Summerville play there. Think AWB will be starting the Man City game.

"As a team we look disjointed in the final 3rd, it’s just not quite clicking yet. Paqueta was decent today up until that final 3rd. He’s excellent at receiving the ball under pressure and playing out of trouble. Final 3rd he seems to be trying to do too much."

Pickle not surprised you would think that you Braindead lush! He gives up way too much possession putting us on the back foot trying to do the flashy pass. It happens way too often to be ignored. He needs to reign that shit in.

Thought the centre halves did well today but can see why Mavros gets in trouble there was a point late in the game when the ball was was going out for a throw and instead of booting into the crowd he backheeled the ball to keep it in and it went straight to a palace player. If he can rid of those mistakes he could be a good player.

"Kudus, and in particular Paqueta, just don't do enough in and around the opponents box for me, that's what great players do, but these two don't produce enough. What really is the point in Paqueta? Thought we rode our luck today a little, but grateful for the win, a lot of work to do and will be glad when the window is closed so we know where we are. Pleased our fans have had a good away day and we have got one over those Palace cunts. Back in your box."

"Manuel, After last season and the massive comings and goings, it was always unlikely we’d be playing great, second game in. In a way, that’s what was good about today. We’ve won away from home and we’re not even close to firing on all cylinders. And as you say, we looked surprisingly solid at the back - apart from the first 20-30 mins. Yes,we had a bit of luck. But, any team needs that little bit of luck at the beginning of the overhaul we’re going through. Back down to Earth versus Man City, but it won’t feel so bad after today. Now, get one them buckets down you. Enjoy yourself. It’s later than you think."

First clean sheet in twenty.! Away from home. Against a team that had rinsed us last time around. Was never going to be beautiful. Looks like Lopy paying for dinner latter. (An old Seville tradition.) Potato Salad may be on the menu.?

"Good but unconvincing win. Palace had their fair share of chances and they bossed the midfield, especially in the first half. Kudus seems to have gone off the boil which is a worry and Paqueta continues to try the fancy ball, he’s becoming a liability. Stavros is an accident waiting to happen, was lucky his error didn’t cost us in the first half. Bissaka makes a huge difference, I expect him to play each week now. Alvarez too. Soucek seems to be playing better.Todibo seems to like to get stuck in a little too much, costing us unnecessary free kicks, hopefully he settles down with time and calms down a bit. Although saying that I think he will make a great pairing with Killman. Killman showing his quality today, thought he had a good game. Emerson solid as usual, not many threats on goal from his side of the park. A work in progress, although gotta shore things up quick cos we can’t continue to ride our luck. Onwards and Upwards."

"Didn't think we were great but looked solid at the back, and good to go into the final week of the window with our tails us, going to be busy. AVB looked the business, Fullkrug a bit of a carthorse. Can be more relaxed going into the City game now."

Great win! I suppose one thing to take from this is Coufal has lost his starting place. I like that he’s making subs and involving as many of the squad in games as possible. Rather than leave players rotting on the bench and then expecting them to be ready.

"Hopefully that gives an answer to why Lopetegui rates Kilman so highly. Sound defensively and an ability to bring the ball out from the back and pick a pass that we haven’t seen for years. Not going to get overly carried away in the same way I didn’t over last weeks performance and defeat, but, good subs and great result against a team that thumped as in this fixture last season are positives. AWB frees up Bowen instead of him doubling up to cover Coufal. Fullkrug playing in the correct position opposed to Antonio moving to the wings is a huge improvement and great run for Bowes goal. Kilman was excellent. I was slightly baffles by criticism of Guido last week, I thought he was fine, but today he was great. Has that little professional foul that evades a booking but kills a counter attack in his locker which we’ve missed forever."
