Re: Paqueta
"Can’t see how City aren’t doing us a favour. Now all Sullivan has to do is get a manager who can use Paqueta properly. Surely that is within the realms of his capabilities, or am I asking too much of him?"

Re: Paqueta
I'd be surprised if Moyes is sat by a phone waiting for a phone call. I have him down as more of FAX kind of guy.
Re: Paqueta
Well rumour control coming out of City are saying they still want him. But don’t want to cough up £85 mill. Doesn’t matter if any of us feel he’s worth it or not. We all know Diddy Dave ain’t even going to pick up the phone unless the buyout clause is met. Especially after last summer.!

Re: Paqueta
"Rossal, Paqueta shouldn't even be on the edge of our box but due to the managers set up that's where he often has to try to start our attacks.....as the manager asks them to cower more and more....the rest is him pissed off with the way he's asked to play......and do you know what I'll back his cock ups over Moyes's cock up to defend, defend, defend."

Re: Paqueta
"antonio was out of position most of the game, constantly drifting out to the left, so I didn't see many options for a final ball. I don't blame any player getting pissed off in this system, it's why I want him gone. this squad showed their honesty by winning that trophy for him. his thanks was to put the handbrake on harder"

Re: Paqueta
"Let's not also forget that, at times, he's been asked to play as a number 9 and been out focal point of attack as well when Antonio was out recently. Classic Moyes and his shity small squad philosophy."
Re: Paqueta
"The only argument I can make that might let it sink in what the issues are, is look at how he plays for Brazil. He stands out in a great team. Put him in a club team of similar level, such as Man City, and he will stand out. Put him in a shit footballing side and while he still looks good, he looks less good than he does for Brazil, and he loses the ball from time to time because he has nobody to pass to. At Man City when he receives the ball with his back to goal his only options to pass to won’t be Zouma, Mavropanos or the keeper."

Re: Paqueta
"rossal, not looking for a row but 'lack of final ball' to who? the jock cսnt has played most of the season without a proper number nine. I don't deny bowen's done well but there are very few, if any options when paqueta looks up the field"
Re: Paqueta
"Yep i get that, but the losing ball on edge of his own box. The diving on the floor, the constant bookings and suspensions, the lack of quality in his final ball etc thats not the manager or style of play, thats on him I agree a new manager could get him firing way better, but his form lately he has to also take responsibility for"

Re: Paqueta
"Rossal, Paqueta came here to play football, he plays best when there are options of whom he can play the ball to going forwards. The way he is asked to play here prevents him from making these passes and instead the option is to play the impossible ball or turn back.......HE'S OBVIOUSLY FUCKING SICK OF TURNING BACKWARDS TO DEFEND....He'll go to Man City and be a 85 million pound player and the likes of yourself will probably be moaning why he never did that for us......"

"Well just have to wait and see. Regardless of the price, I think it's pretty obvious one of the best managers in the world has taken an interest in him playing for one of the best teams in the world."

Re: Paqueta
"Rossal 11:12 Wed Apr 17 ""Has he not played since the 26th Feb??"" But (using your eyesight) you've been judging him since Christmas?"
Re: Paqueta
"Rossal - yeh, and we’ve lost 2 of 8 in the league in that time, winning and drawing 3 apiece. Compared to the three points while he was out (Brighton home, Sheffield Utd away, Bournemouth home). What point are you trying to prove? Results clearly improve when he is on the pitch, you can’t argue with pure facts."
Re: Paqueta
"""That aside, for me he looks better deeper as he plays for Brazil, but Moyes has only tried that a handful of times."" I fucking hate the dinosaur but he probably gets fucked off like me with Paqueta thinking he has all the time in the world around our own box and losing it many times. Cost us a few goals earlier in the season. Has started doing it again last few games. Plus like Alvarez, he cant seem to go more than a few games without a yellow which for an attacking midfielder is awful"
Re: Paqueta
"teacoffeeteacoffee 5:05 Wed Apr 17 I think that is conveniently overlooking some key factors. Firstly, Palmer and Paqueta are completely different players despite what David Moyes would have you believe. Brazil constantly show Moyes what his correct position is but for some reason he thinks he knows better and decides he’s a winger. That’s before we even look at how the two teams set up. Chelsea, who I accept have been far from perfect in terms on consistency do at least play with the football. Not only that, they make the most of Palmer’s ability and play him as their key man and put players around him. We on the flip side play without the football, meaning Paqueta has to try too hard on his limited opportunities to make anything happen, while having no movement in front of him because out setup is so static. He gets played left wing to fit Soucek into the team at number 10. That aside, for me he looks better deeper as he plays for Brazil, but Moyes has only tried that a handful of times. In spite of all of that, he set up the goal for the trophy the Moyes in divs rattle on about, and has had some standout assists (Leeds, Man Utd spring to mind) while working with absolute scraps. Imagine what he will do in a team like Man City."
Re: Paqueta
"He’ll be a big loss tomorrow night, and that’s on him and no one else. He might be frustrated that players around him are not on his level, and Moyes tactics are shit, but he still needs to be professional."
